i didn´t read the whole thread, but thats´s the point
egg is identic to what comes out of in moment of birth
but chicken is not identic to egg, cause there must be another one to produce it

so it´s the thing with two very chickenlike dinosaurs came together, as you told,
or let´s say chickenlike birds, if chicken wasn´t the very first birds rising from dinosaurs

humans get problems with that question, because they believe in what they call facts.
but there are always facts, which are not visuable and modification influences life.

Chickens are not only descendants of dinosaurs, they are, just like all other birds, dinosaurs.

that´s also my opinion.

i spent too much time in the german forum.
there you can only write things, which are absolute mainstream,

If you are talking about egg, as a general term, egg came first, because other animals had been laying eggs long time before chickens existed, such as the dinosaurs.

If you are talking specifically about a chicken egg, then chicken came first. So, the first chicken (which came from a non-chicken egg) laid the first chicken egg !

This is a circular cause and consequence, a logical fallacy. There are other cases like that.

well the 1st chicken came from an egg laid by a bird very similar to a chicken - but was the egg a chicken egg or not? it had a chicken in it after all even if it was laid by something else

Actually that is mainstream. All scientists agree birds are dinosaurs and Wikipedia also says birds are dinosaurs. If Wikipedia isn't mainstream than I don't know what is.
