Not sure. I think it has met too much opposition to build high buildings in Central Copenhagen. Too bad imo, I think it could become quite nice.

Would it be built right across Tivoli, where the tourist office is nowadays?

Not where the tourist office is, but still right across Tivoli in another building.

Ah yeah, the tourist office is right in the corner. I'm not sure if this place is the right place for creating a public space in form of "stairs" since this area of Copenhagen isn't the nicest one (traffic etc.) and there are much more attractive public spaces nearby. I guess this project wouldn't create a quality public space. But maybe I'm wrong :-)
