ok, it's rather difficult so i'll solve:

it is at the weißfluhjoch, davos. the slf (=Schnee- und LawinenForschung ~ snow and avalanche research) has a research center there. the picture shows the snow chute. a chute for experiments to understand the behaviour of snow avalanches. most comparabe chutes are in labs, and therefore much smaller, and/or are used with sand or other materials, but not snow. a chute for snow of this size is unique in the world to my knowledge.

i should better stop the avalanche research lecture now ;o)
