Yeah - congratulations, looks like your strategy worked;-)!
Instead of buying a cheap amp, you could also think of buying a Behringer V-AMP. It will offer you way more versatility and effects than an amp in this price range - and will for sure sound better (it actually sounds pretty nice for the price). And you will never have problems with being too noisy for your neighborhood, since you can just play with headphones (or over your PC loudspeakers or high fi). It also offers you the possibility to record your stuff easily. I do not know your budget - but you could look over Ebay. I got mine there (second-hand) for 30€, and use it at home to play and record song-ideas. I am really satisfied with this thing, because it definitely sounds better than any small practice amp I have heard that far. And it also allows me to record roaring high-gain sounds at 2 o'clock in the night without making my neighbors want to shoot me;-)...

i see lock that you have a good knowledge in guitars :) you play professional or just amateur?
Well - some kind of advanced amateur I guess;-). I am singer & songwriter in a band and addicted to making music since nearly a decade. In the beginning of my "career" as musician I also played guitar while singing (the first instrument I learned was acoustic guitar). With time it turned out that I am a way more talented vocalist than guitar player - because of that we hired a second guitarist and I concentrated on singing. Nowadays, I use the guitar only for songwriting. Since I am interested in recording and production of music, and of course also because of the 2 guitarists in my band, I try to keep my knowledge in this field more or less up to date...
can i get some songs to listen? to see how good is your band:)

Jep - that's me;-)! Ok - I will try to remember it if it should happen;-)...
Thanks for the info, I will check this Behringer V-AMP! :)
Using headphones would be splendid, as I have two flatmates at the place I live during uni semester, so they wouldn't let me play it while they were learning :p

not sure how much a marshall costs over there but its a really nice amp. is it possible to get the dealer to throw in an epiphone amp with your guitar? 15-30W should suffice :)
No idea, I will probably ask and try to negotiate when buying :)
That's of course always a matter of personal taste. I recommanded the V-Amp to borkos because of the already stated reasons. You can also buy a "normal" amp - but my personal experience is, that a 15-30W practice amp never even gets close to a digital emulation, even it is is manufactured by Marshall (but there are of course people who don't like digital emulations at all). As far as I can say it for me, I would never have bought my two amps (a Peavey 30W practice amp and a Marshall 2x80W Twin Chorus combo) if there would have existed something like a POD or V-Amp when I started playing. For me, the advantages are just tremendous (in terms of practicing/recording at home)...
fair enough if you prefer a Pod, i myself prefer amps and pedals :)
borkos should ignore this part of the conversation until he understands guitar effects more ;)
