How funny all coutries in that region always cleams to be the inventor of something like food, a dance or a song and the others are always wrong ... Ever considered maybe you are all a bit right and a part came from all countries in that region ?? Maybe only humans are restricted to borders!! ;)

Do you know what?I am just wondering kebab,yoghurt,baklava etc. are being these foods for hundred yeaars.But greeks claim that they are greek foods for 5-10 years.I wonder why did they wait so many;)
It is not about borders and people.It is culture and these foods are culture.So you cant say that is greek and turkish.

Greeks don't claim anything.... We are open-minded and way past beyond those ideas... And definately you don't want to talk about stealing with us....
And one last thing, The facts are not as you learned from school.... Try reading an european encyclopedia or something...

maybe you don't know, but very similar food is described in anthic greek and old persian literatur. so it is reasonable to say that kebab/gyros/souvlaki is greek, persian, but today it is part of many cultures and traditions (especially turkish) and it is reasonable to say that is turkish too etc.
but in the end all of that is not so important. it is important only that it's very tasty ;))
