Yeh, and also that we are from Duytschen bloet (German blood). But that's the history of the Netherlands.

Istiklal Marşı is our national anthem..
But I think this march gives a message to us..
But I dont want to say my thought..
I am kemalist but this anthem.. I dont know, some part is not lay i think... This part is all about religion but another parts are great..
However I love our anthem.. :)

We don't honour the Spanish King ;-) We ( in Flemish anthem ) are talking about 'the enemies', and in fact, that's France ( as they 'stole' French-Flanders, Lilloise Flanders and Douaisis ) ;-)

I have to admit that it was a smart move of the government to return the old musical composition and rewrite words. Despite the USSR memories and reputation, it was something that united the nation at the start of new millennium.

Interestingly, "in a 2009 poll, approximately 50% of respondents felt proud when hearing the anthem, but the other 50% either disliked it or could not recall the lyrics." (wiki)
