Was Palermo doing any hard drugs, stereoids or something? I remember how he looked way back, as young prospect and now...he looks like an animal!?

Nah, I don't think so, he would have been cought, he have played a lot of matches and never have had a positive doping. He has always been big since he exploded in Estudiantes de La Plata in mid 90s. He looks like a family guy, quite ease. Plus he is one of those players that it's a hard worker, one of his coaches said once that he is even able to build his own gym at home to get back from the many very serious injuries he have had over the years, so he probably has a very nice gym in his house and not only train with the team, but on his own, it's kind of hard a 36 year old(as big as him) to be so well fit and to able to keep up the pace of players with 18/19 and 20 some years old.
