Subject: Fears
I was insanely lucky, the wasp only hit the eyelid and the surrounding skin. So I did not lose my eye, but for sure posed a terrible sight for several weeks since my eye was extremely swollen etc. However, as I said it was shocking enough that I needed several years not to be at the border of panic when seeing a wasp...
a japanese mystery series around 1970, here in germany called
s.r.i.
the original japanese title is different.
i was 10 then and this series was in tv at about 18:00 in the early evening.
it was haunting and nearly ever caused bad dreams afterwards. and we even didn´t have a colour-tv. but no question, we wanted to watch the next episode the other week. no one born in the early 60´s who had seen this, would ever forget it.
after 10 weeks they put it off the programm, because they recognized, what they had done there ;-)
of course, society wasn´t so conservative as nowadays, but when it comes to censorship, there wasn´t a big difference.
my fear is: it will never be shown on tv another time

Fears are always an interesting thing.
I did have fear of heights when I was a child, then with 21 or something I decided to get a grip on that and went skydiving. But I was so scared when I was in the plane, I think that did use up every bit of fear of heights and when I had to jump there was no fear left. Since then the fear of heights is a lot better.
I still have fear of dentist and of injections/infusions. I just hate needles. Well in military service I was with medic-troops. So I guess I just had to many people trying to get that needle in my veins and failing miserably when doing so.

Only thing I'm afraid of is surgery cause you are out of control and the doctor might mess things up and operate you on your wrong leg or cut off something which is healthy. This also happens regularly.

my only fear is of the high platforms without fences...

I am somewhat claustrophobic...not so much the being in there more the getting stuck in there side of things fear :)
My only other fear is clowns to an extent, they are just a little bit creepy.
