Wooop, Latvia get first medal on luge doubles!!!
We have a silver medal :)
We have a silver medal :)
We also got our first medal (silver) in men's halfpipe. Something positive for us, as the games haven't gone too well. I really wanted Poutala to win the 500m speed skating but he failed in the last corner and finished 5th, lost bronze with only 0,03 seconds. Well, I hope we'll get some more medals and am really looking forward for the Sweden-game in ice-hockey on monday morning! :)
Tonight we hope for second and third medal on skeleton.
I was shocked to see Petra Majdic... Her bronze is amazing.
I didn't like her acting. How can you get a medal and then not be able to walk out normaly... They said in TV that she is known for her acting. So I didn't like the show.

She has fallen into a hole... it's her luck that she didn't break a rib.
I know. I saw it. But why could she ski but not walk out? Stupid.
I also think there was at least 80% of acting. She just wanted that her competitors would underestimate her in the final. Well done anyway, I'm not denying that.
I think her inner power has brought her to the finish... but she was completely out after the last race.
According to the media she broke 3-5 ribs with that fall. If this information is correct then you will have to eat your words.
agree.. we are so used to people acting on screen that we sometimes think to see that even when it is not acting.
Curling is great.. that was a damn close thing against scotland... but Switzerland managed to steal one stone in end 10 and won. Lucky bastards.

polish women are great in biathlon today but without medal :/ gold medal for Tora Berger from norway congrats
Yeah, saw that too after writing my comment. Impressive performance then. Ahonen won a world cup competition in skijumping with broken ribs a cuple of seasons ago, same category. A shame as Petra would've been tough in the remaining competitions.. now it's between Kowalczyk and Björgen I think. Maybe a lucky bronze for Aino-Kaisa Saarinen.
1000m women speed skating is now on. It's going to be a good fight for gold :)
