Dutch are born with iceskates on ;) It's our national sport during winter.

And the reason why they are that good is because we have a very strong national competition with many speedskaters. We can open another can of iceskaters who are all strong enough to win medals :)

I know the sport good enough to know I really don't like it :) Only mass starts are a bit more fun, but after a few minutes it is all the same again.

If you watch cycling and know the Amstel Gold Race you know we have hills that are great for Biathlon. But no snow, that is the real problem :P

And you don't need hills for Biathlon, a couple of good high bridges is enough :P

Hah. I think exactly the same about speed skating. In fact there are more competitions in speed skating than in biathlon (which in my opinion is perhaps the most exciting sport in the Winter Olympics to watch).

I was wondering, are there any Belgium sporters at the Winter Games?:P

Strange, but indeed, icehockey isn't a large sport in the Netherlands anymore. During the 80's we played in the highest division. At the moment number 24 world ranking, not so good :)

you also copied quarter and semifinals of sprints, no fair :)


biathlon has 10 different stages, cross country has 10 different competitions and speed skating has 12 different competitions, busteed!

I wasnt referring to how much they are on tv but to what you said about different races.
