Subject: Darts

When I was a child I had a dartboard with darts and I enjoied a lot. I don't know what happened with this darts (probably vanished), but reading this topic I motivated and I realy like to start to play again. I'm sure my friends will want to play, because it's a god game while one drink.
So.. tell me, people from the north :P, how important is to have good darts to begin? I mean, could be a cheap darts? or are there big differences? (for somebody who want to start to play)

im not from north, but imo, best darts are the ones with methalic "punta" , and playing on a "diana" with cow skin. Always better than the electronic tables. I used to play on this way on a friend´s pub some time ago :)

what kind of darts game do u play in ur country? that one of having to do three 20, three 19-18-17-16...to three 15 plus three centres, or another one?

We play 401 in the league, but 501 is professional level :)

It's taken me 4 years and 10 months (I've been playing since I was 9)

i put the dart board up last year , ive played on mates boards before but i do feel that if i had to really stick in id be decent at it . usually after 30 mins or so i can hit 100+ a few times

but when i dont touch the darts for days at a time im neever gonna be anything other than guff lol :)

I got close to 180, got two, bent the wire, and otherwise average 60-120 or so, but my finishing is pretty shameful though, still can't consistently get doubles.
