Abdisalam Ibrahim (18) from Norway has debuted for Man City. Impressive. He is a prospect.

And of course Haavard Nordtvedt at Arsenal.

Good for you, it looks as Scandinavian football is getting back from dead :)
Can't really say it about Poland, we have no prospects at big clubs..or even decent European clubs...quite sad, isn't it? :/

There are some guys, like 21yo Matuszczyk who made a debut in Bundesliga this week, also some youngsters in reserves of English clubs, but you can't hear anything about them.

The only good guy abroad is Majewski, he plays for Nottingham Forrest. 21yo as far as I remember, he is a first teamer...got some damn good goals this season:

We also have a 23yo Janczyk at Germinal Beerschot who gets a goal from time to time. But that's all...
2010-03-01 18:23:42
lol, Janczyk's name doesn't belong here, that's for sure :)
2010-03-01 18:24:43
That just proves my point about dying Polish footie.
2010-03-01 18:26:37
situation can change completely in 5years..
2010-03-01 18:40:38
I doubt it, Polish clubs prefer to buy average players from Balkans etc. instead of looking into lower divisions for youngsters, we don't really pay enough attention to training youngsters, nor we have facilities and well trained coaches to make those guys improve. For young PL player with talent the only way to achieve something in football is to move abroad as soon as possible...you know, in our league 23-24yo players are still perceived as football talents, coaches say they are still young and can improve, that in future[!!] they will be a big addition to the squad. Hello, wake up! :/
2010-03-01 18:46:53
lol, we had the same problem 10 years ago

5 years ago, clubs changed, and just look how much better they're doing now allready..
2010-03-01 18:48:50

2010-03-01 18:51:09

2010-03-01 18:58:42
Wessels? Never heard of him before.. Maybe Witsel? He's good, but not as good as Defour, he's top class.. Also plays for Standard.

2010-03-01 19:07:14

2010-03-02 09:57:46
You've got Szczęsny as well. He's quite ok.
2010-03-02 10:55:36
Well yeah, we have no problems with gk position - Szczesny, Kuszczak, Fabianski. But field players is a totally different story :)
2010-03-02 12:15:50
