Earthquakes occur more frequently recently, could it slow destabilization of the earth's crust?
2010-02-27 14:14:49
they do not occur more frequently, its just a coincidence all current ones are heavy ...
Btw, epicentre was not in the sea, but in a city, so I wonder how there can be a Tsunami in chile ... The wave should go the other way (away from the coast) ...

Take care!

I think I read that there was a significant earthquake in Japan about 4 hours earlier.

:(
2010-02-27 15:28:22
Tsunami is coming!
2010-02-27 15:33:57
78 confirmed deaths

Earthquakes occur on fault lines, not on 1 specific place. Tectonic Map

And the reason why we hear so much of earthquakes is because more and more people are living in earthquake-areas, a much higher death toll because of that.

86 confirmed deaths till now.

This is 1 of 5 strongest earthquakes ever. It's a miracle not more people are dead already. Probably because they build their houses and other building knowing it's an earthquake-area.
