Well there also is a chance for Russian conspiracy, but I don't think that it is true. First of all they wouldn't have done it in their country, although so many important people at one plane...doesn't happen that often. Also why whould they want to do that? Yes, it's true that they had bad relations with Kaczynski who was anti-Russian[and that was one of the things in which I supported him], but there were going to be elections anyway in near future, and Kaczynski would've probably lost so there wasn't really a need to do it...

you are paranoic, I quote.. if russia would do such things with every country she "didn't had good relationship last year" a big part of world countries wouldn't have leaders anymore.

Condolences also from Switzerland.
RIP.

But it's also a bit risky to have so many government members and high ranked politicians on the same plane. Swiss newspapers were wondering, why Poland was taking such a risk. But what can we say, it's always easier to criticize afterwards.
Will there be new elections soon?

probably at the end of june

Yes, the amount of government members and military officials at one plane is disturbing...especially as there are directives in this issue. Also, some time ago there was a crash of CASA plane, where top military executives were killed and after that tragedy it was said, that top shelf army officials should not travel together...

o rly, you think in Russia are flying every day planes full of important people from each country ?
2010-04-12 23:01:27
Indeed, I think the US President and Vice-President never can take the same plane. Even is some company's not more than 1 or 2 people of the board can take the same car.

there wasn't so many critically impotant persons there really imo

president, chief of national bank and army commanders - taht's all

tehere were many parliement members, some leaders of governemental agencies and few other high administration guys

all of them had a replacement left in country ready to take a duty...
The people you say are quite numerous in my opinion.

no but if russians really want to kill everyone who "has not good relationship with them in last years" they would find other 1000 way to do it, don't worry, there is no need of plans full of important persons.

is it maybe the fault of russians that 100 important person were in the same plan?
(edited)
yes, but not critically

our procedures were ready to replace almost instantly most of them

it would be much worse if for example chief of parliement died with president because he is pointed in constitution to replace president's duties after his death and so on

all procedures in this matter was fulfilled

Well to be honest, grzesbe is right...Kaczynski was probably going to lose the coming elections anyway, chief commanders have their assistants trained for this occassion so it's not really a problem[from the viewpoint of a country of course], unless there was a war going on right now. Politicians - same thing.

In my opinion the biggest problem will be with replacing Janusz Kurtyka click. Institute of National Remembrance is a very important institution in Poland, especially nowadays. They do a lot of research into history, especially the communist part. There were many researches getting finished right now, and Kurtyka himself was being prepared for this position for years. It really won't be easy to find someone who will replace him sufficiently.

Of course, it's a real tragedy, as I've said before - I was writing this post solely from the country's view, not citizens.
