Seriously, there's no place in a pub or club where you can smoke? In Poland there are special places for smoking, which I like, but nevertheless you're allowed to smoke in the other parts of the pub/club.
The only places I know where you can't smoke are some restaurants and...bus stops :)
Fun fact: there's a place in most of the shopping galleries where is a restaurant/cafe, where you can actually smoke. But outside of this restaurant, which means outside place 'descripted' by a small fence, you can't really smoke - which is a humbug, because the fumes from the restaurant get out anyway.

I think the law here says nowhere in an enclosed space, which supposedly means anywhere with a roof.
Well I must say I like it, despite being a smoker. I hate people who smoke in restaurants, it's freaking disgusting. Also, I don't really like drinking beer in a place that is full of people smoking, it sucks. Also the clothes get the scent of cigs...honestly, I think that there should be a room with fans for people who want to smoke. You want to smoke = you leave your table for a moment and go to the smoking place/outside. Same with clubs, I can't count how many shirts I've lost because of some faggots going through the crowd with their cigarette lightened up.
