Subject: »PIIGS - economics problems
not to paying debts are just slogan, it is not real... or we can go back to caves and start eating raw meat..
but I agree, this problems are caused by democracy system.... a lot of people are sheeps and politicans are pigs.... as Caesar said: "let's give bread and games to people and we can start rules".. or sth like this :-)

How about we all just borrow what we can repay and spend what we have earned?
And if we don't, how about we then sell some of our assets and repay our debts from there?
And if we don't, how about we don't complain when other people collect their debts forcibly?
Simple rules for simple life with no economic crises, street rebellions and eventually wars. Repay your debts!
After this last trick Papandreu pulled, EU should just let Greece out and stranded. Who wants to do business with them after this is just plain stupid.
Fool me once - shame on you. Fool me twice - shame on me.

If you lend a friend 100 pounds, and he doesn't pay you back, but later asks for more - what do you say?
Good luck going solo, Greece.

latins said "panem et circenses" (literaly bread and circus atlhete) meaning that this is what people really need to stay quiet..

I said not to pay those PUBLIC debt.
I mean that if an ecenomy is condemn to recession, and people are condemned to get increasingly poor..
is better to have a moment of discontinuity, to start all for new than to have the same problems but keeping debt as a Sword of Damocles on your neck..

But even that was part of the deal with Greece. Half of the freaking debt was forgiven! What the hell are you talking about? Which poverty are you talking about!? That's a country with almost 30.000 EUR GDP per capita!? That's around 30th place in the world!? That's 3 times more than my country!? What poverty!? Are you all raving lunatics!? Repay your debts! And stop borrowing money if you are insane!

I think too. Slovakia was trying too to persuade EU that Greeks must guarantee for loans by their real assets. But EU and Greece didnt accept this, just Finland force Greeks to make guarantees by their assets, Slovakia was not able to negotiate this, so we refuse give them money (And EU consider us as bad members :-(, really sad!)
calm down, do not shoot casual numbers (funny numbers without any sense, btw) ..
Repay your debts! And stop borrowing money if you are insane!
I do not have any debt. Italy or Greece have, but them can fail as any company.. Who borrow money knows that there are some risk..
spread with german bond measure exactly this risk!!! Who does wrong investment pay his errors..
and, remember, I want my democracy back..
so I will like not to pay any public debt (and remember than more than a half is due to private citizens.. so we will pay it more than everyone else..)

Funny numbers without any sense!? You are either insane or simply don't know how to use Google. List of countries per GDP

Well, FYI, if you plan on living in Italy, you partly owe what Italy borrowed. Italian voters democratically elected people who borrowed that money. Your vote included. That's how it works. You might not agree with it but these are the rules. Sorry that I was the one that had to break the news to you. Now think about your next vote more carefully or consider candidating yourself or consider moving to a country with better budget management. And foget about borrowing money that you will not return. That's called begging and not borrowing.

calm down (do not insult me..) numbers that demonstrate what?
the average incomes?
so what?!?!?
for the rest.. I find it not commentable, you think at politics and economics as relations between private people..

if the loan reached 2000 pounds and you were still paying the 1900, and not the initial 100 pounds debt, then what would you say?
greece is going solo, then italy, then portugal, then spain, then ... good luck eu, then good luck world. i guess you are going to blame bad greeks again while guys like soros will make trillions.
cheers

The fact is the Greek government lied about your unhealthy financial and economic situation. You - I mean all the Greeks here - are responsible for that, if you like it or not, I don't care.

LOL. Well, the average income tells you how much you can spend. High average income means "a lot to spend". Low average income means "a little to spend". So, when we rank Greece in terms of how much they can spend per capita, they are around 30th place, meaning that using the word "poverty" when describing Greece is an insult to all the countries below 30th place, unless you consider being poor when you're not among top 10% of the world population by wealth. So, me, as a Croatian with 1/3 of Greek average income to spend, am insulted when you claim that the Greek or the Italians are threatened by poverty. To me you seem like spoiled brats completely out of touch with reality.

LMAO. And what are these then? Relations between robots?
You chose those people to represent you. YOU! And even if you didn't, they stil represent you.
When your parents die, you will inherit what they own. Both their assets and debts. You can always choose to refuse your inheritance what you will probably do if debts are higher than assets. So, you Italians and you Greeks and us Croatians are always free to refuse your TOTAL INHERITANCE and say "OK, we don't want these debts. Take all of our country's assets and repay our debts." Many smart nations will be happy to do that for you if you are not able to do it yourself.

I came across a text that was written by famous Czechoslovak businessman Tomáš Baťa during the greatest economic crisis in 20th century. I find his words immensely relevant even 80 years later. They describe in great accuracy the very essence of the crisis and bring a perspective of possible solution.
Citation:
I don’t believe in any self-created turning points. What we used to call economic crisis is just another name for our moral poverty. Moral poverty is the cause, economic crisis is the consequence. In our country there are many people who assume that economic depression can be prevented by money. I am dreading to consider the consequences of such error. The position that we find ourselves does not require any genius reversions or combinations. We need moral approach to people, work and public property. No support for bankrupts, no more debts, no throwing away the values for nothing, no blackmailing of the working people.
Tomáš Baťa, 1932
He was real wise man, Greece, DE&FR banksters and whole EU failed in basic moral, so I´m unfortunately predicting very bad end of this story

I will lik to tell you a tale about statistics:
once in a country statstic said people eat a chicken for head..
if my neighbour eat 2 chickens, how many chicken will I eat?
LMAO. And what are these then? Relations between robots?
no between countries, them works with balance of power and convenience, not other funny fairy tales..

One (statistically). As there are over 60 million Italians.

One should take notice that PPP (Purchasing Power Parity) currencies are the only reliable basis to compare countries.
