Slovakia had maybe 10 referendum and just one succeed. Others were fail due to little attendence (less 50%)
That one with success was supported by huge state ads for long time, referendum for entrance EU.

I think just people who are meet some requirements about knowledge of some topic, or generally about economics or war or medical knowledge should be allowed to vote :)
So if somebody dont know how much is 7x8 can not vote in economy referendum or people who dont know what kind of technicall assetes our army has should not vote in army referendum about some army reform... This is just example but point is clear....

Sorry,written on mobile as usually
1) The opposition should notice the lies and then the government will be punished by the next elections.
2) Not going to vote is the fault of those people. This is normal in every country that has voting right (in Belgium, we are obliged to go voting).
3) I don't understand what you mean.
4) Vote for other parties. They exist.

I'm not saying your political and economic system is good. I'm just saying the Greek are responsible for that.
@ both you and rumpil: okay, so you say democracy is crap (I agree, but it's the best crap we have), what do you suggest instead of democracy?
okay, so you say democracy is crap

Where and who said such nonsense???

If someone did, then he / she has no idea what freedom is (well, also limited, but freedom though, absolute freedom we will never get). And freedom means everything. It is our essence on this Earth.
Both the Greek dude and rumpil said it.

I said it what I suggest...... That about limited democracy, about simple test question or another way which will not allow vote to totaly loosers, not informed people who vote just becuase they like some old man :)
And you think you will be able to determine if someone is smart enough to vote or not in some simple questions?

Jokes topic is somewhere else mate ;-)
If they did, then I feel sorry for them.

Breathing the air of democracy, being it limited though, is the best feeling in the world.

Kids, you know nothing about dictatorship and I wish you never do it.

I was it :), in current democracy sheep can vote stupid politics and cheayers and thieves. !!
And it is easy manipulated sheep by media !!!!
2011-11-17 21:25:16
Come on... We all know how it is easy to manipulated sheep in every country.
We learned (in my course macro-economics) today about the economic system of Ceausescu ;-)

You must admit he's a 'genious': [short description of his system] limit the domestic consumption in order to export the production in order to have foreign currencies in order to finance megalomaniac projects.

No you wasn't. It was a "human communism" in Czechoslovakia, if we may call it like this.

It is easy... so the democracy gives you the possibility NOT being a sheep like under dictaors... and raise ur kids accordingly.

So la liberté du choix t’appartient.

:P He was sick

I wouldn't wish my most ferocious enemy such a live we had under his dominion...

Just like in Belarus or Turkmenistan? :P
