The politicians have immunity
they not have been punished for either the scandal ziemens or military equipment or any other scandal

After politicians lost their political position, they no longer have immunity, they can be brought to court.

Don't forget that people in Eastern Europe are poorer and usually don't care much about politics - so it's not surprising that many people will vote for the "we promise you free beer and living forever!" party :) (well, actually we have a party which is promising free beer and living forever. they are a parody of course :) )

Your politicians could be brought to court too. Of course you need somebody who start that and you need a judge too...
But don't forget one little thing: Greek politicians promised much more than Greece could pay to the Greek people, and what's worse they paid it too. So now you have to lose things, or you will be the next Zimbabwe...
