Subject: What is your average country salary and pension?

2010-05-04 17:03:48
We should also remember, that the prices of food, beverege etc. are very connected with average salary. For example Warsaw has the highest av. salary in the whole country, and many people get angry with it, complaining etc., but they forget, or maybe don't know, how much you have to pay to buy an appartment, or how much you spend for food, beverege, restaurants etc.

Indeed, that's why they invented PPP ( purchasing power parity ).

Belgium looses approx. 30 000 000 000 EUR (30 billion EUR) because of non-efficient ministry of finance etc

Not correct. They say that if the Ministry of Finance could reduce the black market labor in Belgium to the level of our neighboring countries, the Belgian State would have increased revenues of only 10 billion euros ;-)

Estonia average salary is approximately 800 EUR, pension ~260 EUR. If all EU countrys would have to pay their loans, Estonia would rise up to EU top. Btw, hopefully Estonia will get euro next year that may help us to faster economic development ( while Latvia and Lietuva will stay far behind).

well it's a while ago that I've seen the documentary. But without any black market we would have 30 billion euros extra ;)

Still, 10 000 000 000 EUR is a lot of money for our country. It's 1K EUR each Belgian a year!

Reducing the black market to zero is impossible, you know that. USA is doing the best, they have 9,6 percent of their GDP in black market. France, Germany and the Netherlands together have 14,7 percent in black market, we have ... over 21 %, even Mongolia and Vietnam are doing better than us ;-) ( these percentages are of course all estimated )
Seriously, I couldn't help it, he had a Czech flag you know ;-)

How big are the differences between Warsaw and other parts of polska? Where lives Greg? :D
2010-05-05 03:22:18
Greg and damian live in Warsaw :P

Well the differences are quite big. I don't have any sufficient data for real estates, but in cities like Poznan, Warszawa, Krakow, Wroclaw it is almost the same, though in smaller cities you pay about half the price for same estate.

Let's just say this...in a pub in Płock you can get beer for 4-5 zloty. For same beer, 100km away, in Warsaw, you will pay about 8-10 zloty. And Płock is not really a village for our reality, it's a little city - about 140k people out there.
