3° choice : Italy
reason : the same of Brazil... only one problem Lippi has chosen only average players... the best players will not enjoy the cup and we don't know why...

Who do you miss from the italian squad?
[/quote]

The young players we miss them...
The team is almost the same of 2006... but they're old...
The young champions:
Cassano...
Balotelli...
Miccoli...
Motta (the right back)...
T. Motta (the midfielder)...
are not yet famous but are great players... and they will watch the cup on TV...
:(

T. Motta is brazilian... And played for brazilian olympic team (sub023). He is also italian citizen, but I don't know if he can be called to la Squadra Azzurra.

England will win...
btw, I have no time to make more predictions :P

Balotelli is not a teamplayer and I don't think so, that the others are good enough. Maybe Cassano and Motta.

Ivory Coast to beat Brazil and win the group, then a supposedly out of form Brazil to beat Spain? OK then :)

Netherlands do well again. Is there anyone who doesn't have them down for at least the semi's?

My hopes for this World Cup:
- Italy fails ..hopefully France too
- to see some African team doing really well, at least 1/4 finals.
- Argentina must fail, sorry maradona you are a terrible coach. Hopefully Messi won`t score a single goal. That means maradona must leave, because everybody will blame him.
- If England plays in the final I will eat my hat
- USA to win the World Cup
- Australia to qualify from group

Will see how many of them will come true.

:)

only bad of this is that is impossible to explain how offside rules works to any usa cititzen :P
2010-05-19 17:02:08
All I really want is at least 6 seeds in the last 8 so we can actually have some big games. The last 2 world cups haven't delivered on that front. And if South Africa can get out of Group A at France's expense that'll be great.
2010-05-19 17:11:46
Argentina will win WC...
2010-05-19 17:22:19
Offsides?
In World Cup is impossible have offside!
I don't why... but at end of the game we have always the same teams...
Brazil
Germany
Italy
Argentina
England
France
Holland
If you see the past World Cup editions you will trust me!

2010-05-19 18:11:59
Germany for the win, also hope that Italy and Neatherlands will do fine

I don't miss Balotelli. He has nice skills but is unpredictable - he can get a red card in first 15 minutes, happened in u21 games[vs Sweden for example].
Miccoli and T.Motta aren't really young ;-) and T. Motta can't play as far as I know...

I miss Miccoli though :( he was the best striker this season, together with Di Natale and Milito...definitely deserved to go. He is injured, I know, but he wouldn't go anyway...and well, there aren't many better players in Italy than those who Lippi called, unfortunately :( At least he decided to leave Grosso and Legrottaglie, good move.
