Subject: World Cup Predictions

Capello is just over rated. He managed only top teams with let's just say mediocre results for their expectations.

rotfl!!!

5 years at Milan[91-95] = 4 championships, 1 champions league, 3 supercups, 1 european cup, 58 unbeaten games in a row!

1 year at Real[96-97] = 1 championship

3 years at Roma = 1 championship, 1 supercup, 1 vicechampionship

2 years at Juve = 2 championships

1 year at Real[2006-2007] = 1 championship

all in all 9 championships, 1 champions league, 4 supercups - and that's...mediocre results??

@all brits: Stop this wimpy whining. In 66 you won a tournament with this kind of decision, so please have some backbone and except that you were clearly inferior! =)

It´s the 21st century for god sakes.

What bothers me is that ball hit the bar twice. Shouldn`t the refs seen from that the ball was in. Otherwise it would´t have been possible to hit the bar 2 times.

Very good game for Germany. Too bad that they don't have strikers... most of them were born elsewhere! =P

I wonder why my thread where I predicted almost all the teams that where going to play the quarter finals was deleted.
Maybe a jelous member of the sokker staff whos country wasnt even in the groups stage was too mad about this. I dont know who else can delete a thread.
Too bad.
fuerza la celeste!!

It was deleted because Uruguay won it, nobody wants that team winning it:)

That was a joke of course - Look here - although I don`t know who moved it there.

Guys we have a separate football forum, get used with it:)

Seems like I failed prediciting the right winner. USA was so close to it:)

As it´s quarter finals time I predict that Brazil will be definitely in the final. They are good and I don`t see a weak link in their team. Great defense, midfield and offense - no doubt about that. Although it´s rather hard to see who they will be playing in then final. Argentina/Spain/Germany have all played nicely. If one of them gets in the final, then it´s ok. Spain because in a prediction bet with my mates I put Spain - Brazil in the final. Argentina, because of Maradona - lot of people have critized him. Would be funny if Argentina could win it eventually. Germany, because the team is young an filled with future stars like Özil and Müller. Difficult to say who I prefer the most, all are attractive teams.

brazil is not through yet. they have to face the netherlands. they didn't play attractive, but efficient, quite undutchy.

i'm hoping for a showdown nederland vs. deutschland, but i still think brasil vs. espana is more realistic.
