I do also think that England could play a good tournament, mainly because of the good coach they got. But it's time for another German victory. We didn't win this thing for 20 years now. That's unnatural! ;)

I do not think there is someone to avoid, even if you're right that Germany didn't look quite good against Italy in the past. I really hope we'll meet you in the knockout-stage to even this statistic a bit, 'cause we should have the much better package for this tourney. Talking about statistics, will Italy ever win a penalty shootout at worlds? I really enjoyed how Lippi started to put a offensive player on the field every few minutes during this 2006 overtime to avoid penalties. ;)

Spain have confirmed their final 23. No Raul, Guiza, Senna or Krkic. If they're strong enough to leave those 4 out then the World Cup is theirs to lose.

It's not that Raul, Guiza, Senna or Krkic are top class players either. Senna is getting older (I'd rather have Xabi Alonso on his position), Raul and Guiza compared to Torres and Villa? And Krkic is still a youngster.

Senna was outstanding during Euro2008, Raul is a bit old now, Guiza was also very impressive in Austria/Switzerland when he actually got on the field and Krcic a striker for Barcelona, says it all.

He was outstanding yes, but like I said, Alonso is much better on that position. Raul had a bad season, he's running on his end. And Guiza, I never liked him as a striker, the fact that he plays in Turkey (I thought), says it all. Krkic will be there in 2012/2014 probably.

Maradona overshadowed one of his best goals (that amazing dribble) with that idiotic 'Hand of God' goal. In another game, he would be sent off, and Argentina would be screwed.
