In my opinion, Wish you were here is really sad, Knocking on Heavens Door, Tears in Heaven

There are others but those 3 brings me down.

Also one of the best, though simplest, guitar solos I've heard. I think the word is "effective".

Swallow the Sun is awesome, but it doesnt sound sad as bands like Anathema, My Dying Bride and paradise lost (guess what, the top 3 doom metal bands :p)

Wish you were here does not make me sad, for everyone it's different. There are hardly any songs that make me sad. Actually it's probably none.



This could be a sad song, but I think it's just a beautiful song.

From that album I like 'Not now John" the most, but that is no way near a sad song.
