probably just one or two. Others followed. Army start shooting. I dunno.

Restraint is the key word here.
2010-06-01 16:18:49
No, my next argument is: are you now running the conversation for both of us? Making my points too?
Gee, I feel so redundant.
:)

if she dropped down with a helicopter, armed with a machinegun and with the intent of stopping humanitarian aid, smack in the middle of people with a mind set akin to liverpoolsupporters just prior to the game against manchester. Probably yes, your mum shouldn't have been there. Not alone anyway.

more like repititive.

Anyway, what I wanted to ask. Point 3 of my reply to your long post.

If IDF is so concerned with avoiding civilian casualties (something I have found absolutely no evidence for, so the burden of prove is entirely up to them) why assasinations with rocket armed assault helicopters in the middle of rush hour? And please don't start with 'they deserved it'. I can feel it coming.

Well on the beginning of the videos, when they board, who sees them spraying and strafing innoncents to the ground? They are being beaten. I sorry, but a pipe wielding team of nutters run at me, if they start attacking me, if I have one weapon - my life is more important than theirs.
If you are being swung at with a knife, and you have a pistol, would you shoot? I'm sorry, just because the people on the boat claim to be 'humanitarian' and 'peacemakers' doesn't mean they are so.

so you want to boycott israeli goods?

well i suggest you watch this vid first and then decide

2010-06-01 16:26:30
then who sent in a single guy against the nutters, hoping that it would escalate so he can show the world his big balls and his 'fuck everybody who isn't me' mentality? Why were they there and why did they chose this kind of approach to the situation?

Really, the small scale you keep thinking in, is frightening..

I will do that later, but probably this is the video I've read about. Trying to stop the Israeli boycott by lies (ofcourse).

basically what u suggest is that you two, you and your mum walk in quite dangerous part of the city, its really dangerous... five men attack approach you they say "no worries we are humanitarians, we have no intentions to hurt you", they they attack your mother and start raping her, you have a gun in your pocket but you just watch, because they are humanitarians after all. And all in all it was your own fault, you were walking in the dangerous part of the city, those five men are innocent, for gods sake they are humanitarians...

like roq already implied with describing how the egyptians deal with rioters: you hit them hard the first time and the next time there isn't a riot at all... Which would be understandable, if the riot wasn't the only way of drawing attention to the problem. Btw, Roq, now that I'm thinking about it: How is the israeli going to deal with the gaza strip issue? Wait until the palestines deal with it themselves? Without building material and a quarter of the required living materials? Because, you know, that is how you build healty functioning societies that make up good neighbours...

So, yes, was this an isolated incident, this would just have been a case of sloppy policing work and a few unlucky hot-headed protestors who mistakenly thought they still were in the sane part of the world. But, like Roq said, it is more complicated than that. It is one of the many in a chain of incidents where the israeli gvt shows how they want to deal with anybody who doens't act like they want the rest of the world to act: if they have bigger guns: use them; if they have less big guns: cry about being threated unfairly.

Excuse me while I fetch my lemon madeira, made from Israeli lemons.
2010-06-01 16:34:45
dumb, really, you have the sense of right/wrong of a five year old.

Is it ok to steal a medicine if it is the only thing that can cure your dying wife and the guy who sells you the medicine asks a too high price for it?

2010-06-01 16:34:51
is it a stand up comedy by you?

if they have bigger guns: use them

I have a fuckign paintball gun, get out of my way!!!

this is the question you seem to be avoiding a bit ;)

As a captian you problably can tell me (or can't, of course) how it is possible to accidentally miss a suspected terrorist with an attack helicopter and shoot into a nearby building? And I don't automatically blame the pilots in this hypothetical example, maybe the people in charge didn't think this as a priority... But I've seen bombs of the americans and vids of helicopter attacks who could target a single room or a single guy with a mortar in a busy street. What's the difficulty in trying not to shoot into a school?
Also, why not a clean sniper shot instead of a full on rocket strike on a car in the middle of rush hour?
I don't think western propaganda is to blame for israel's image of crowd control.

I will not debate this with you any more because you make fun and claim to know what I'm going to say before I said it. This is an immature way to argue and I'm disappointed you decided to take that path.

@charles hill - do watch that video... and please PLEASE follow your own advice and boycott ALL Israeli products. Pretty please with sugar on top.
Git.

totally without any offence, I think that jews will find a way to make money out of the boycott if it happens :)
