Subject: »Gaza sea convoy incident

2010-06-01 23:44:37
As I asked before, when I am going to see in this forum a topic condemning China for the treatment of the Chinesse and Tibet.
When I am going to see the same people asking for the human rights of the Palestinians asking for the Mapuche (that probably live much worse)
When I am going to see the leftish that condem Israel attacking the Arabs countries for the treatment of the women there and the gays there?
For the leftish people 1 person has more value than another? For you a child kill by a Israeli is tragic but you don't care about a child being abuse and kill in Africa?

For most of you is not about the Palestinian people (when they were oppress and kill by hundreds by the Jordanians you don't care, Black September), is about being able to condem Israel bacause is a Jewish State.

Europeans have their hands really dirty with blood, may be they should fix all the problems THEY made in the world before being in the position to judge another.

..coming from a canadian of european decent? :p

I get what you are saying, but sometimes you have to accept hints and pointers of your peers, not your superiors. And nobody will ever be 'the better man' than the other. So this is by which you have to do it: guidelines from belgians and a dutch, lol.
No, I am not saying they have to do anything, after all they live in a dangerous part of the world. I'm only hinting to the fact that their choice of solution of the last few years is both not as well working as some of them claim and probably tainted by latent dislike of their neighbouring countries. Some solutions would be more beneficial, not only to those currently living in that open air prison.

I am not aware of it. I have no idea what types of aid if at all are blocked.
For all I know it is strickly controlled but not blocked.
There were cases that the block was of lethal weapons. There was even a ship from Iran.

However, if it is true that goods such as food and medicines and agricultuure or such, I would disapprove. I already wrote above.

then disapprove ;)

This was the reason for the attempted blockade breaking that started this incident.
2010-06-02 00:18:37
No No No

The attempted blockade breaking was a political act.
They did not want to cooperate, they did not want to port peacefully in Ashdod
They did not want that Israel would inspect the contents
They did not want Israel to take the goods to gaza, because it would beat their purpose

They did not want to aid Shalit family by urging Hamas to let them meet Gilad

They wanted to be blocked.
They prepared for the scandal

Pure provocation. And by the way, there are not that substantial amount of goods that would make a difference.

And lastly, no other aid is blocked. Not real aid.

Actually, I am not Canadian of European descent.

I am Canadian of Latino descent. I was born and grow up in Argentina.

Why you don't send humanitarian help to Congo where you left a disaster after your occupation?. The people over there is dying as well, you don't fell sorry for them, after all that your country has done there?
2010-06-02 00:30:35
we do.
Most of the bad stuff done in the colony happened during the private rule of leopold 2 (chopping of hands and the slavery and the rape). The colonial rule made clear laws to fight these atrocities.
Actually, we left the country quite functional. A lot of the congolese want us back.

Argentina was a spanish colony. I'm not blaming their mistakes onto you and so you should try to blame historical mistakes onto me. Just as I am not blaming historical mistakes on the israeli's. That's just a horrible game to play.
2010-06-02 00:36:32
You're not blaming historical mistakes, but your current opinions are one-sided.
2010-06-02 00:37:35
such as?
2010-06-02 00:38:46
I don't think I have a drop of Spanish blood in me. I have most blood of people who suffer under Spain than of Spanish. But you don't care about other people suffering.
Who cares about the Coyas, Mapuches, Innuit, Metis, the Squamish people, etc., while you can help the Palestinian.
Maybe if the Mapuches bomb Buenos Aires and start acting for their freedom, the left is going to help them of the poverty they are on.

Congo is in the state it is because like most European colonial countries you conquist and oppress but didn't educate.
Why you don't go to Congo? They have really nice customs there :D.
2010-06-02 00:41:15
I'm just very happy they don't. And I assume you share the sentiment. What does this have to do with this incident? You can't justify one situation through another. Or the other way around.
2010-06-02 00:43:13
There is no point in arguing.

They only help people who want to kill your people (Jewish), but if I ask them to send help to the aboriginal people in Argentina, or boycott Chinesse products because of the Tibet oppression they are not going to do it (they probably not going to answer anymore, who cares)
2010-06-02 00:48:10
Is that I don't see you opening post when there is an violetion of the human rights in another place (and some are much worse).
I don't usually care about what happen in middle east, but you are so obsessive with middle east that you don't care what is happening in the rest of the world (and you europeans made lots of mistakes and have lot of blood in your hands).

We should boycott EU products in America :D
2010-06-02 00:49:59
probably

but I am not arguing to change their opinion.
I want to know if and how they keep their opinion.
2010-06-02 00:51:08
there you are with blaming later generations with historical faults again...

middle east is closer to us than to you, so yea, maybe not that weird that you aren't that interested.
2010-06-02 00:53:42
Chuck, are we going to start a post for the right of the Kurdish people oppress by the Turkish and the Iraquis? And also again the Chinnesse? And why no aboriginal peope in South America

I bet if we open something like that we go out of the first page in 2 days.
2010-06-02 00:54:38
