Africa is as close as middle east, but you don't care.
There is a lot of illegal immigration mistreat by your goverments, but you don't care.
I suppose there are not kid living in poverty in your country (there are a lot in Canada), or is that you don't care? and you care more about the Palestinian.

Your opinion is rock solid. You pursue calling the thugs on the ship "humanitarian, when it's clear that they did not come, nor pretended for any humanitarian action.

The best compromise you could offer is that Israel soldiers could have killed 3 people instead of 9.
And you keep blaming the same side. It is as ridiculous as trying to predict the World Cup Finals.

I am not happy with what happened, I have no idea how decisions were made.

What alternatives could be taken?
Since it is lawful to enforce sea blockade (which you obviously deny our rights to do), and since the "peace fighters" on the ship clearly stated that they were going to break the blockade, no matter what - would the alternative be that the ship was physically blocked inside the territorial zone? Without risking the life of any Israeli solidier?

Rescuing operation for 600 people from drowning would be an even worse picture. Mind you, many of them were innicent protesters. We would not want to hurt them.

I`m not educatated enough over Israel-Gaza subject to form any opinions about the bigger picture.

But what does Israel excatly want from a riddiculesly tiny 360 squarekilometers of land, pratically in stoneage.

Educate me please.

Peace.

However these 360 KM Square, are held by militants, that declare that they want to distroy Israel. No less.

They are blaming Israel for being prosperous, without doing anything for their own good. The oppres their population, but blame Israel for their poverty. They attack physically (they have a lot of self justification for that), but want us to open our bodelrs for them. They collect lethal ammunity that some big countries in Europe do not have, and they want to not be sieged. They educate children to hate and kill, and yet thy call Israelies children murderers. They do not respect international laws, but complain when something happens at their side.

Worst of all - they do not disguise their hatry, and yet succeed in leading naive people for blind support to their causes, and against Israel.

People who in their normal culture and way of living are variable and tolerant, become so so blindly convinced by this propaganda, that this case is for them black and white.

And again, we do not want 360 SQ KM. We want peace.

Isreal wants peace because they have stolen many lands already. As well as robbers don't like more shots when they have stolen the jeweler's.

We didn't educate the congolese people? Are you joking?

After eopold the second with his draconical reign we installed all facilities, except for a university. That was our mistake. Not to let them co-govern Congo.
But in 1960 they were planning to install a university too. We had noticed that the situation became precarious and we wanted to avoid a revolution by letting the local people co-govern but first they needed a diplom of a university.

When we had to leave congo we left a concrete roadnet(still in use in Uganda), railroads, water, decent army,..
It were their own foolish leaders and tribal wars that started the decline of Congo

Enough! Neither you, Russians, Dutch, English, German, French, Americans, Spaniards, Portuguese, Turkish ... not conquered or oppressed peoples in order to offer education. I disagree with what's happening in Israel, probably because something similar happened in romania (Transylvania). Americans need them (for their location) so they overlook any violation of regulation and they also know this and profit from this advantage.

isnt what he said. Leopold 2 conquered it and did many attrocities there. International community was outraged and forced him to hand over his personal colony. He gave it to the belgian state, who started developing the country for real.

peace is a process, not a word, nor a flag you can start waving passive agressively without any real commitments to your former enemies.

Like, what do you plan to do with the illegal jewish settlements on palestine territory? Even when you disagree with them legally claiming it as their land, you still have to agree that it pisses someone off when you build a house onto somebodies land. How does that compute with 'israel only wants peace'?

Israel only seems to want peace on paper, but on their terms, and with their proposal of borders (1967, except on the places they conquered in the mean time). Don't get me wrong, but this makes israel look very bad.

The winning side is usually (irony) the strongest side. The one calling the shots. I don't know how this works in legal terms, but it seems like they had the choice of killing or not.
Like I said, I wasn't there, but someone whose norms of humanity haven't been deteriorated yet can recognise a case of exessive violence. And the deaths are on one side.

I haven't started calling them 'humanitarians', but I can't see how this is an arguement for me being biased. I haven't called the IDF 'muderers'.

so if a soldier died AND THEN they started shooting makes it more acceptable?
2010-06-02 10:22:40
"We support an Israeli investigation that meets those criteria. We are open to different ways of assuring a credible investigation, including international participation, and we will continue to discuss these ideas with the Israelis and our international partners in the days ahead,” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told reporters.

Well, this is already a bit better but still shit! Before this statement the US wanted the lying zionists do the investigation all by themselfs. Ofcourse at the end of their own investigation they are innocent, like always, even if 1300 died ... I'm affraid this time it won't be different.

I'm going to start an Intelligent Political Discussion Thread.
CH, that sig is not allowed in there.
:)

That's the way politics are, try to live with it.
International is not about 'oh how ethically good of you; gosh i wish i did that kind of good at my place. Oh you try to motivate me to do that, oh how thoughtful of you'.
No it's about who knows who.

What were you thinking when you hoped the americans would judge this? It's like China saying to North-Korea "Guys stop it!". Such things just don't happen
