1) for starters, this makes it look like the IDF had no idea what they were going to do when down there. Sucks for them to be in a badly planned miltary action. Like I said, somalians do a better job at crowd control on a ship.
2) if you're getting boarded by a guy with a machine gun, you'd better start hitting him as soon as he hits the deck. It's not like he was doing something legal? Boarding a ship in the middle of international waters? I would call that piracy.
3) For someone who's two sentences away from justifying the bombing a house, a shooting a child and turning an entire country into a large getto with self defence, I expect you to recognise this right when it applies to the other party as well.
4) handing over the humanitarian goods to the IDF? Seriously? You might be correct in that this action might be provocation. If only to call the international media's attention to the fact that the Gaza-strip doesn't get its humanitarian relief. Thanks to the IDF. So expecting the ships to just hand it over is like expecting goodwill from an israeli. Literaly.

plenty of stuff israel is doing is ILLEGAL, but as long as someone brings enough firepower to back themselves up, they seem to be pretty ok with it.

then you will impose an ambargo upon them
then one day some people will want to help to people which you are killing
they will want permission from you to bring the helping you won't give permission to that helpings
then those people will try to bring their help to people which you are killing
because those people are conscientious people
