Because they have to live different style of race. And it's a good thing for Gap. Thursday the race will finish at the top of a mountain so it's a little bit different today and it's a good thing.

No, it's not a good thing. It's good for Gap, bad for the race. What did we see today with the favorites? In the beginning it was good, and if the top had been on the Aubisque, then the race would possibly and probably have been like that untill the finish. Now it was boring after the Tourmalet.

It wasn't even necessary to put the finish on top of the Aubisque, but just after the descent and not 40km away ...

Of course, that would be good too.

The Tour de France is not only for favorites. The war between favorites is good sometimes but it begin to be very boring...

Well, I guesse everyone ( except the French) thought today was more boring than a battle between Schleck and Contador, and the semi-favorites battling for thirth position.

Maybe. I think at the others cyclists and no ONLY Schleck and Contador because those make the show only one stage during the TDF

Ofcourse. If the tour de france was only about the favorites (and the yellow jersey) it was the most boring race of all. 5 times Indurain, 7 times Armstrong, now probably 5 times Contador...

What's boring about that? And I seriously doubt 5 times Contador.

I think it's abou money... Which city gives the money they want to let a stage finish... Sometimes the have to plan some stupid stages like this then...It's not good that Hushovd can sprint for the tenth place in a mountain stage and that Charteau can win the polka dots...

The half of the fans think it was unfair, so boo-ing is ok from them.

There will be a mountain finish on Thursday. This stage was ideal for a breakaway. I sad it before the stage that nothing would change beetwen the top favourites.

I totally disagree. There should be different categories for different riders not just 3 or 4.

And don't forget that Pau has a centenarium.
