I will never understand this sport. As for me, there is zero excitement:)

Initially I have the same attitude as you: I don't get it. But there are some great Danish commentators that really help explain the tactics of the race, and in the end I always get caught up ;-)

It's like American Football: it can be really boring when you don't understand the rules or why someone did something spectacular, but once you learn to appreciate the little details and the great moves, then it's much more fun to watch.

I'm still an absolute beginner!
Cycling is the most beautiful sport in the world, really. Nothing goes above the Tour of Flanders or Paris-Roubaix, and of course the Tour. It's just ... brilliant. You can see them suffer, that makes it such a beautiful sport.

2010-07-15 17:05:30
Of course it's in my opinion ;-) And a lot of Flemings will think the same.
2010-07-15 18:24:19
For me, it's not the most beautiful sport, but it's sure that is a nice sport. I like mountain stages! There are the best :D
2010-07-15 19:47:47
I like cobblestones the most ;-)
2010-07-15 21:01:26
It's a little bit boring to my mind
2010-07-15 21:08:48
Oh my ... cobblestones aren't boring, they're ... magnificent. Of course, in Flanders, we have a tradition in cycling, and especially in cobblestone-classics. Of course, we're the best cycling country in the world :-D Or at least, we were.
we are on the flat boring races ;)
Cav is an absolute train, shame Renshaw got kicked off the tour, pretty poor decision in my eyes, the garmin rider was trying to cut him off so he freed himself from going into the barrier, going across Farrar was a bit silly, but thats not what he was pulled for.
