Go party and worry about your economy dudes instead of sitting behind your computers

Hehe, our second goal in the semis wasn't offside, neither was this. We played way to rough, due to the superior Spanish ability.
2010-07-12 15:23:12
Both cases clearly weren't offside :)

He were'nt awful! The players made it very difficult for him and he could of at least sent of three players for continual fowling and moaning! Look at robben he was very very lucky not to be sent of after kicking the ball away and then two minutes later a spanish player did the same and got booked!

Yes thats because he was awful, the rules are the same for all the players, not only for some of them :S
2010-07-12 15:42:30
He gave only 1 red card when he should gave atleast 6 .

Robben ( kicking the ball away 2 times yellow )
De jong and Van Bommel ( no need to explain xD )
Heitinga ( bit harsh but he did "touched" iniesta )

Iniesta ( tripping Van Bommel )
Puyol ( second yellow for holding Robben )

So you could say Webb did the best he can to keep as many players on the field as possible :P

I think he did a pretty good job in difficult circumstances. If he starts dishing out red cards early on then he ruins the game and would be getting a lot more criticism.
2010-07-12 15:49:57
Yes because if he would of sent themm all of it would be fair but also certain people will moan and say he ruined the game! So webb could not win either way
2010-07-12 16:05:09
Then follow the rules and not bend them. Now he gets commented with reason.

On the balance of play he tried to ensure a game that flowed! Had he sent off many players then everybody would have complained due to that, its a catch 22 situation.

You Dutch are disappointed and I understand that, but from a neutral perspective you did not deserve it in reality, Spain tried to play and your team did not......maybe thats because Spain were superior technicians?

The Dutch I was brought up with as a kid were Gullitt, Van Basten, Rikjaard and so on......now they were footballers. ;)

They complain anyway, then follow the rules and sent one off, with a big chance players hold their charges.
2010-07-12 16:15:37
All I am trying to say is that had he kept to the rules then it would not have got to extra-time, Holland would have been reduced to 10 men in the first half. Spain would have used the space and your guys would have been forced to pull back on some of those challenges....had that happened I believe your side would have lost by at least 1 goal in the 90 minutes.

Look on the bright side, at least you got to the final. As an England fan thats never going to happen in my lifetime. ;)

We thought the same and see now, dont lose the hope my friend! :D

The difference is that Spain have some great players, England does not, you have great technical players. In England we promote kids on athletic ability more which is never going to achieve anything imo.

The best players on the pitch yesterday were all small, Xavi (class), Iniesta, Robben, Sneider, Fabregas (when he came on) and Villa.

LOL how many times was he stamped on off the ball? ;)
