Libya is on the borders of Europe - helping Libya will help Europe in the future. Iraq is another discussion - I didn't agree with the incursion 100% myself there.

to be exact, Libyan rebels wanted an international help...If I will pay a 100k morons in my country to start a fight with states forces, e.g. in Ukraine...will NATO send their troops and planes to give country into my hand? Do you really know (or ever did you think about it) how many people in Libya wanted Ghaddaffi down?
No and i didnt really care, but the numbers on the anti gaddaffi protests were huge. Then he started killing them, thats not right.
China and Russia made some deals with Libya for oil contracts so obvious Europe needed to take action.

I am able to see that in a wider perspective of 'defence'. Which doens't take away that I see defence as 'being attacked and getting help from others to repel them'

wider defense...and what about wiser defence? For me wiser defence means to make a friend from my enemy...NATO is just escalating Christian-Muslim conflict...
