"US economy went down from early ´90 because of Clinton´s social and financial policy."
Largest economic boom in 30 years
"9/11 saved your economy for at least 10 years from total collapse... "
How much of this do you think they've recouped back?

I met a few of "those slovaks" and I liked most of them , quite nice people. Those two here are bit weired though oh wel lets say missguided:)
But who really knows....
But who really knows....
reason for going into Afganistan- to take out the Taliban who had given safe harbor to Al-Quida and Bin Laden.
reason for Iraq- initially WMD and supposed nuclear threat. At the time I was for the Iraq war, but as it became apparent that there was no WMD, and the intelligence for going to war was faulty, I quickly changed my mind on the Iraq war, and was and am against it.
conspiracy to get oil? so the US is going to pick a fight with Russia to get oil? no way we would or even could do that? If this was about oil, why not just land a couple of armies into Saudi Arabia and occupy the largest oil fields? a much easier target?

I am not going to repeat my statements from this debate (you can find it around page 50 in this thread), but please...be little bit more critical to your govs...
9/11 saved your economy for at least 10 years from total collapse...
went to pages 49 through 51...did not see anything from you...so briefly HOW did the 9/11 benefit the US???
as to our economy, do you even know what caused our economy to collapse?
it was mostly a housing bubble. and when loans were not paid the banks started losing money, and credit became hard to come buy for small businesses and even large ones. thus a contraction. nothing to do with war.

Illusion of ethics and justification. You're not helping your argument
thanks, its nice to hear...
@all: OK, guys, I am quitting this debate, we cannot understand each other so it doesn´t make sense...maybe in the future, we´ll know the truth maybe not, who knows? then we can discuss...until this time I am going to respect all opinions...

after they shoot away their year production of Tomahawks in first month of Afghanistan conflict, they started with country restoration through US construction companies.
do you realize how foolish this is. do you realize how tiny "a years worth of Tomahawks" is to the US economy?? MAYBE .00000001 percent. also, you can not build a years worth of Tomahawks right away. This would be spread out over a year or two.

Ofcourse Russia and Saudi Arabia are complete different situations. Attack Russia would defensively leads to a real war, Saudi Arabia is a business partner, no need to attack them :P
There are probably a number of reasons why the US attacked, but looking at the military bases of the US in the Middle East you see clearly 3 of these reasons, oilfields, Iran and Israel.
Picture is a but large so I do it this way: click here.

but the argument was the US went to war for oil...
why not take the path of least resistance - invade, occupy and then sell Saudi oil ??
just because the are a 'business partner' does not make their oil less valuable.

Oh ffs
You can't just invade whatever country you want without justification. You would quickly find yourself at war with the rest of the world and you'd get properly buggered.

You state that the US lies. When did we start lying?
Was US Lend-Lease a lie? (ask some British if this helped feed, cloth and arm their war effort)
Was our effort in WW II a lie?
Was the Berlin airlift a lie?
Was the Korean War a lie?
Was the Cold War (against the USSR) that led to the downfall of communist regimes in eastern Europe a lie?
Was the effort in Kosovo a lie?
Was the ousting of Saddam Hussien and his takeover of Kuwait a lie?
yes, Vietnam and the current war in Iraq are black marks that I am not proud of.
However, the US (with allies), in my opinion, had helped many countries many times. All this "US lies", "US is warmonger", "US just wants oil" should be taken into context of just what we have done for that is good, with some allies, over the last 70 years.
Sure, we make mistakes. But is every mistake a conspiracy?

thanks for helping to make my point. we would not. If we WERE going for Iraqi, Saudi, or Afhani oil, do you think the world would just let us? NO. And they should not.
My point was that IF we wanted to take a country for oil, Saudi Arabia would be a much easier target than Iraq, and much bigger prize.

to all- the war in afghanistan was a coalition of up to 28 countries

With that logic it would be even easier to invade the Netherlands and take our gas, and do this with every small ally ;P Saying the US ONLY attacked of oil is just as dumb as your example ;)
