Was our effort in WW II a lie?
- in WWI you didnt help the world ... in WWII you help after you see turnover/changes at Russian front and you was maybe helpfull but also scary that Russia will "liberate" and owned europe alone :-)
OK. I am really tired of you making up US history. The US got involved in WWII due to a little thing called Pearl Harbor. You may recall that the Japanese attack and sank most of our Pacific fleet. So we declared war in Japan. They declared war on us. And because Japan and Germany were allied, Germany declared war on us. So then we declared war on them.
rumpil, I dont think that you or I can ever find common ground.

its no surprise you havent got a bloody clue what you're on about if you make your opinions based on a comedy show...
Unsurprisingly, nothing ive said has been wrong, or even tried to be shown to be wrong. You dont know the people in the EDL, you're just blindly labelling thousands of people, which just shows even more how ignorant you are.

I am certainly one who thinks that US interefered in WWII was good.
But some interesting things for those who are intrested. Ever heard of Henry Ford?;) Really hated the jews like hell. He build factories for trooptransporters and sold the engines to the germans while he denied the same to the british... And the most interesting thing is that those factories were never bombarded while anything else was, until war was decided. Destroyed they were at the end of 1944 after making nice profits with teh germans and the war.
Basically just saying war is allways dirty, allways some using it for their own interest.
I mean nowadays we find so many different sources for things telling different stories , its hard to tell what is true and what not.
The whole media system is the perfect brainwashing machine if abused. I think everyone can do some smal positive thing but thats about it. At the end I only can think of this one here or I can never stop thinking and wondering and despair at the end.
"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

I am in that category too. We must not be blind, but we must be grateful to the States for saving our ass in WW II.

My granny would become sick if she read this. She really can't see bad in the americans. To her those young men and that nation were heroes.

Would you say otherwise? Do you not see those who fought and died at that time as heroes?
(The emphasis on 'that' is for a reason. I really do hope you get the point.)

Just curious: have you ever tried to find some serious information on this issue? For instance, read a scientific article? Based on evidence instead of fantasy?
I always thought that Japan attacked Pearl Harbor because USA threatened to attack Japan if they didn't leave their overseas areas :-)
as to Pearl Harbor conspiracy theory- i spent the better part of a week in college studying the documents in supporting and detracting from this theory.
The conspiracy theorist make some compelling points. However, in my opinion, it is not conclusive. For every supposed quote there are hundreds of counter quotes.
So this is not new to me.

You thought wrong. The Japanese overtook northeast China in the 1930's. Because of this the US imposed an embargo on US goods to Japan. This would have crippling affect on Japan as it needed to import coal, ores, and oil.
So the Japanese devised a war plan to neutralize the US Navy and then take over areas in the Pacific that could supply Japan with raw goods.
