I always thought that Japan attacked Pearl Harbor because USA threatened to attack Japan if they didn't leave their overseas areas :-)
You thought wrong. The Japanese overtook northeast China in the 1930's. Because of this the US imposed an embargo on US goods to Japan. This would have crippling affect on Japan as it needed to import coal, ores, and oil.
So the Japanese devised a war plan to neutralize the US Navy and then take over areas in the Pacific that could supply Japan with raw goods.

i spent the better part of a week in college studying the documents in supporting and detracting from this theory.
I like when somebody wants to find out more information even more if he thinks that story is not true. This means that you are really interesting in information and not just in forum spam and defending US position. I like this.
(i dont read that conspiracy theory, but I am pleasantly surprised of you studying :-) )

I did not mean to imply that this study of the conspiracy theory of Pearl Harbor was self-initiated. I took a upper lever US history course and this was studied for about a week in my class. . However I did do some self study in the library (pre-internet days, lol).
the idea that the japanese would somehow attack Pearl Harbor was not novel. In fact, on the front page the the Honolulu newspaper the week of the attack there was small headline stating something like "Japanese fleet dangers Hawaii". It was more of a general warning than an precise warning.
But after this study most in the class agreed that the supposed conspiracies were not true.

What differences do yo see between the religious regime and the regime anti-religious or nonreligious?
The most terrible dictatorships in the history of the world were anti-religious dictatorships.

Stalin for instance; however, Company's statement is not true imo. There are other examples, for instance Sadam Husain.
Something else: do the Greek work? 'Cause they're striking ... again! Seriously.

euroval 1 and 2 is useless... Europa is going to realize it soon too, but they will realize it on its own mistakes and because of that I am glad that slovakia do not support euroval 2 for any cost.
We should make changes not be just prolonging crises and of course we should learn lesson on somebody's big mistake , that is maybe second reason why greeks should solved this "on their own."

I just have the impression that those strikers don't want that the Greek feel the solution in their pocket. They want the other EU-countries to pay. No way.
Greece can try to solve their problems on their own. With or without success, maybe succcess is not even possible because the problem is not independent on what happens elsewhere. They could try anyway.
However, whatever happens in Greece is not just a Greek problem: what other EU countries worry about (and what all this aid packages are all about in the end) are the consequences for them of alternative scenarios for Greece.

I think they simply don't want the strikers to "feel the solution in their pockets", and they feel somebody else deserves to feel it instead. Both inside and outside of Greece.
I also think nationalism is still too widespread in the EU for it to be called a "Union". And by nationalism I mean the simplistic readiness to put everything down to "us & them" on a cross-country (sometimes even cross-region :P) border basis.
