Subject: »NEWS AROUND THE WORLD

I'm interested in your view on the split-up of Yugoslavia (and no, I don't say that is comparable with Belgium).
Exactly! I could not have said it any better..

wow, you guys really want to annoy the world with this? :p Stay on Belgian boards before we become the joke of sokker :p
Ouch, now that would require opening a new topic and half a day of my spare time :D

But we have the same polarization process regardless of the fact that we're now a nation with our own country.

If you don't have anything interesting to say, please stay out of this..
It's human nature to create polarisation, you'll see it everywhere regardless of culture, language or race.
Yes, this reminds me:

Im just wondering wtf this has to do with 'news around the world'. Or will be talk about everything that happened during the last year or has happened a year ago?

Dude, Belgium is the country without a government for the longest period EVER in the world. It really is a shame people don't care.
2011-06-14 12:17:54
Would you care if Switzerland or Poland didnt have a government for over a year?
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't give a rat's ass ...

So you still say there is no fundamental difference between left/right in Flanders and in Wallonia? This is the distribution of seats without the small parties (like PP, LDD, ...).

Ouch, now that would require opening a new topic and half a day of my spare time :D

Okay, let me rephrase: do you think keeping Yugoslavia and not splitting it up would have been possible? And would it have been preferable?

This is a too much hypothetical question. Of course it would have been possible but that would require a much higher level of culture and tolerance among its constituing nations (the one in charge in particular).

Would it be preferable? That depends on question "how" and not "what". Most important questions begin with "how" and people stil prefer asking "who", "what", "when" and "whether".

So basically, we already had a Yugoslavia and it split up because of how it existed which was obviously not well. This "how" would require a separate topic and we would learn mostly about "how not" to do things and very little about how to do them well. That's actually the whole problem with bad examples. You don't find out much about "how" but much more about "how not".

Well, the Flemish parties (or at least the majority) ask serious reforms of the Belgian state.
Two things; one, former yugo; that collapsed due to influence from abroad; america wanted foot in balkan wich they never had...thus, they drove europe into dividing yugoslavia; supporting muslimterrorism that took place long before any Serb counterattacks...remember those scene of concetrationcamps with starved out people? that were Serb prisoners from Croatia, not muslim prisoners from Serb prison camps! That was largely why the Serb had to radicalise and stnad their ground forcefully as everywhere where they were minorities they were raped and slaughtered....the most gruesome killings took place by muslims on to Serb civilians....it was not a straight war!

Secondly; the Belgium situation; it is very nice that our Belgium friend of sokker react here, but it seems strange that all serious acknowledged inependent specialists from Belgium name the language struggle as the main source....and these children persist in denying this!

I think both halves of the land could benefit...as they would finally be fitted with their own identity.
The Flemish won't have to deal with the stuborn Walonians and pay for their situation. And the Walonians can finally work for themselves not being secons class citizens and victimhappy lazybugs.
ecologists in romania is a party of two buses. that would be the idea? green grass of home ?
