ecologists in romania is a party of two buses. that would be the idea? green grass of home ?
You are really brilliant in offending people in an unbelievable way.
LOL. You see what happens to your brain when you watch too much Serbian national TV.
The shortest way to describe what was happening in Yugoslavia is that the Serb nation who was basically in charge of the country had disagreements with all other nations who then wanted to become independent and it all ended in attacks by Yugoslav (read: Serbian) army which was one of the most powerful military forces in Europe at that time.
It was first in Slovenia, then in Croatia, then in Bosnia and Herzegovina and then Kosovo where it actually all started but there was no war at first because Albanians were not powerful enough to defend themselves and were basically opressed by the Serbs for decades (e.g. Albanians had underground schools and universities because they were not allowed to have education on their own language).
Then finally in 1999 the Americans got sick of looking at "united" Europe doing nothing and bombed Serbia so that Milošević gets finally chased away by his own people. And that was the end of the Balkan's wars. It could have been resolved already in 1991 the same way if only the Europeans wanted to pay attention to what was actually going on. Then maybe e.g. the Dutch UN batallion would not hand over thousands of Muslims in Srebrenica to Serbs for the biggest European slaughter since WWII.

regarding split of Belgium- this would be a horrible idea -- how would Americans learn the countries of Europe without the handy "BeNeLux" way of remembering those countries? ;)

Dennis is right. You absolutely can't do that! I mean, how will we call Belgian waffles? Wafla waffles? :D
Wafla waffles
Sounds nice, you must admit that! :p

Do they actually learn them, then? I regularly get to explain that the Ne part of BeNeLux is not a German province. :P
well, you are the barbarians living at the north of the roman empire, so discussion end, i give you this solution for free :PPP
just joking of course :P
just joking of course :P

Yeah well brussels is supposed to be a bilangual area. Dutch and French.
That's crap obviously but we do like to pretend so =p.
As Langhe says: I would be shocked if foreigners were sad or worried because we don't have a government. That would be news =p.
Haha you are worrying more about how to call waffles, beer, chocolat,.. then the people =p
