I live at 18-19km from a nuclear plant. I still do have 2 eyes, 1 nose, etc
maybe my third ear is a curiosity but hey I do watch tv with the cause of that ;)

i don't believe nuclear is the answer.one human error can contaminate entire regions
That you don't believe it's the answer, okay, but don't say there is radiation outside modern nuclear power plants if you don't have proof of that. And no, I don't know what you mean by 'fleurus'.
Jup true story but the same goes for the chemical plants in my region..
It gives us light, comfort, an income,..
If it was possible to have clean riskfree energy everybody would want that until then we will have to make choices..
Nuclear power which is clean but possibly dangerous or coal which is polluting and slightly dangerous or wind/sun but they aren't 100% reliable and they take up space..

Costa Rican NT player, Dennis Marshall died in a car accident today. I still remember the goal he made against us this saturday. What a shame, he had a great future.
strange you don't know because it's a village in belgium where in 2008 happened a nuclear accident.
must have been an extremely dangerous accident because I've never heard about that village either.
did you know a wind mill broke down once due to rapid spinning? It could've destroyed houses and killed people. Luckily it didn't. Accidents can happen anywhere, anytime. Nuclear Powerplants are safe enough. Of course there are risks, but those risks are reasonable. If you want to live a life without risks, you might as well stay inside your house for the rest of your life. But watch out though, your roof might fall down due to an earthquake!
Sorry for my harsh reaction, I just think your point of view on nuclear power is extremely silly. You leave no room for arguments.

Owh nuclear accident? Here, in Belgium?
Where?
Where?
clean ... :) you can't say that.
but anyway you are right when you say that for the moment is the best and more powerful power plant.but with the developement of new technologies it's stupid to start now a nuclear project, also after what happened in japan, because we are developping the thorium nuclear plant( 100 years for radioactive decadement instead of 10000) ,nuclear fusion, synthetizing hydrogen using sun power(maybe more for cars but THIS is really clean) and cold fusion ( a new factory will be built in greece not after november 2011).

It will not have been a serious incident I believe, as I am the third Belgian now who doesn't know about it. There are two nuclear powerplants in Belgium, one in Doel and one in Tihange.
What happened in Japan will never happen here, in the Low Countries. We never have serious natural disasters like they have in Japan. It is unrealistic to want to not want nuclear power. At the moment, we just can't do that. Nuclear fusion might be the future, yes. We - in the Low Countries - haven't got natural sources (like hydro energy) in contrary to for instance New Zealand.
are you serious?
if a wind mill explodes (here windmills are built not in the cities, but anyway) it kills 2 people.if a nuclear plant explodes... ;)

i'm not judging you for your choice,mate...you already did it.
but here we have heartquakes ,we have mafia, and we have BAD POLITICIANS :) if something goes wrong here all europe will be contaminated.

Nuclear Plants will of course have exponentially bigger consequences if something goes wrong. Nonetheless, the actual chance of anything happening to a nuclear power plant (for Belgium at least) are almost non-existent. At the moment, there's no single system which is better value-for-money (you can replace 'money' by 'risk' or any other word you like) than nuclear power plants. I do hope science will get Fusion to work someday...
