GO WIERD MAN

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3334622/Homeless-radio-voice-mans-a-star.html

A HOMELESS man has become a worldwide sensation after a clip of his golden radio voice went viral on the internet.

Ted Williams, a former radio presenter, was filmed begging on the streets in Colombus, Ohio, demonstrating his dulcet tones while holding up a sign that read: "I have a God-given voice."

The video was put on YouTube by local cameraman Doral Chenoweth and has now been viewed by MILLIONS of people across the globe.

And Williams, 53 - who has struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction - has become an overnight sensation.

He has spent today appearing on talk shows across America looking a far cry from his scruffy wild-haired appearance on the clip that made him famous.

And he has been flooded by job offers from big broadcasting names including ESPN, MTV, ABC, CBS and CNN.

He has also been offered a full-time job as a stadium presenter and a HOUSE by the NFL side Cleveland Cavaliers.

Los Angeles voice-over agent Shane Cormier said of the internet star: "We could make him a millionaire."

Yesterday the boss of local radio station WNCI, Tony Florentino, said: "We're on pins and needles, I think he really has no idea how big this is going to be."

Williams' miraculous second chance comes more than 15 years after he began struggling with alcoholism, drug addiction and petty crime.

Accusations have also surfaced that Williams acted as a pimp during his years on the streets.

But now the aspiring radio director says he is clean and ready to leave the streets for good.

In a TV interview with the Today show today he said: "My life just went to the pits.

"In spite of all the flames that went down my throat, my voice still retains some type of resonance."

Williams - who worked on a radio show in Colombus before he got addicted to drugs - says he's showing his gratitude by "acknowledging the Lord" for his second shot.

The dad of seven girls and two boys says he is hoping his story will encourage others to reach out to more people like him.

He said: "Don't judge a book by its cover - everyone has their own little story.

"If you're going to give to a homeless person, give from the heart."

Meanwhile Williams is set for a reunion with his 92-year-old mother, Julia Williams, who he has not seen in over a decade.

Today a tearful Williams told CBS' The Early Show the best gift of his newfound fame was the chance to visit his mother.

He said: "I apologise, I'm getting a little emotional. I haven't seen my mom in a great deal of time.

"One of my biggest prayers that I sent out was that she would live long enough for me to see me rebound or whatever, and I guess God kept her around and kept my pipes around to maybe just have one more shot."

Williams' ex-wife, Patricia Kirtley, said she called his mother to explain her son's stunning reversal of fortune.

The 58-year-old who had five children with Williams said: "She didn't believe it until I called her.

"She is so overwhelmed. I think she does not want him to mess it up. She said this is an opportunity and a second chance."
The dude has actually an amazing radio voice ... it's unbelievable.
He could be the next James Earl Jones.

Btw: When did the Cavs made the switch to the NFL?

No one about that bombing in Moscow?

It's really sad though

Multi culture = multi problems. As everywhere.

Ridiculous comment if you post this without any further explanation.
2011-01-26 12:23:09
And what do you not understand? What should I explain?

The more Muslims, the more attacks. That is, in any country inhabited by "useful idiots" as in England, France, Spain, the Netherlands. Have you ever heard about the attacks in homogeneous countries like Poland, Hungary, Serbia, etc.?

or Belgium?

Ah, your talking about the ideology 'religion'. That's something completely different then multi culture.

So yes, if your talking about religion as a problem, and above all the extremists and fundamentalists, I think your right. It's a problem for over 2000+ years already and the end isn't in sight.

And England, France, Spain, the Netherlands vs. Poland, Hungary, Serbia .. this is a bit more complex. If a terrorist moves to 1 of these last 3 countries I don't think he will be that unnoticed as he would be in the first 4 countries. The western European countries are just much more a mix of people because we almost always lived in a free country others could and wanted to move to, or in the past even needed to move overhere to help rebuild after WWII. And people move, the world is an active place, not static. If you live in a homogeneous country you probably live in a country others don't want to stay in or move to because there are better/good options (just look at the numbers of eastern Europeans living in these 4 countries after the borders opened) ;)
Also, a bomb in London or Madrid has probably at least a 100x more impact on the world then a bomb in Warsaw or Budapest. I don't mean this disgraceful to the people of these countries but that's worldpolitics.

Besides, Serbia isn't really the best example, homogeneous by ethnic cleansing :S Talking about extremism ..

Last but not least, to use your way of thinking, I can say the same about eastern Europeans. The more of these countries join the EU the more Eastern European crime we get, so the people of these countries are a problem. That would be short-sighted if I say that, right ... ?

Ah, your talking about the ideology 'religion'. That's something completely different then multi culture.

Not exactly. I mean a system of multi-culti, namely the presence of a completely different culture collide with the traditional European.
For example, Ukraine and Belarus are a other nations, but generally the same culutre.

It's a problem for over 2000+ years already and the end isn't in sight.

This is a problem from a dozen, or maximum of 30 years, not 2.000.

If a terrorist moves to 1 of these last 3 countries I don't think he will be that unnoticed as he would be in the first 4 countries. The western European countries are just much more a mix of people

Right. And this is precisely multi-culti problem.

If you live in a homogeneous country you probably live in a country others don't want to stay in or move to because there are better options (just look at the numbers of eastern Europeans living in these 4 countries after the borders opened)

Yes, but this is still the same culture zone, who had nothing to do with terrorist attacks, Sharia law, closed neighborhoods, where whites are not allowed to access, and to postulate the many privileges.

Also, a bomb in London or Madrid has probably at least a 100x more impact on the world then a bomb in Warsaw or Budapest.

No. It's obvious that London and Madrid are better known and more important cities than Warsaw and Budapest, but it was not the reason for the attacks. It easier for terrorists primarily due to multiculturalism these countries.

Besides, Serbia isn't really the best example, homogeneous by ethnic cleansing

Serbia has not made any ethnic cleansing in their area. They made them in the old Yugoslavia, although the term "cleansing ethnic" doesn't fit in relation to the small scale of this phenomenon.

can say the same about eastern Europeans. The more of these countries join the EU the more Eastern European crime we get, so the people of these countries are a problem.

Although, I don't know the exact statistics of crime, but one thing does not agree. Amsterdam, or London were regarded as the most dangerous city in Europe, even in the 90's, before the borders were opened.

Second, I see the difference between theft and the bombing.

I'm just gonna pick one sentence of you:

This is a problem from a dozen, or maximum of 30 years, not 2.000.

You're joking, right?
2011-01-26 15:42:24
I will try to post more later, but let me be clear of 1 thing. You and I probably can't be more different and I don't think we share that many common cultural value :)

We do suffer from romanian, hungarian, polish (so ex-USSR to make it general) gangs who commit burglary, auto theft, ..

But it's true. Most of the 'look-at-me-i-bomb-myself'-dudes are muslim.

But does that mean that all of them are like that? No they aren't. Just like not all the ex-USSR people are criminals =)

You're joking, right?

Why? Of course I'm not.

@ Ruige Ronny

I am not against Muslims, against their presence in Europe. I am against the Islamization of the continent, specifically the far-reaching concessions to the Muslims. Because the problem is not the terrorists themselves, but in creating a multicultural society, which did not make it anywhere, also in Europe.

As I wrote earlier - I see a difference between terrorist attacks and car thefts.

But generally, I think, that citizens foreign nations who commit crimes in a foreign country during their stay there, they should be expelled from this country, for the benefit of the host country and country of citizenship.
Therefore it should be to deport criminals, and people who are not assimilated with that culture (in this case European), no work, living from social welfare, etc.
Meanwhile the situation where tens of Roma deported Sarkozy met with harsh criticism from leftist organizations as "racist action, " etc. And really Sarkozy has taken right decision, and such situations should be more.
