compare the taxes you pay with the tax that Dutch, Belgians and Germans and Scandinavians pay.
LOL
LOL
truth be told when i saw your vat is 13%... even we, the serbs(that can be considered a very poor european nation) have 18% and most countries hold it above 20% after economy crisis
paying taxes to get some social benefits.
we payed even before that taxes without having any social benefits
health coverage / education / family support = 0
i wish i was working for 8 hours like germans for 2k per month and have all the social support a state can provide (like sweden, germany etc )
rather than working for 16 hours for 125 euro per month without having even health coverage for accidents during work
i prefer the word slave than worker
after all if you check history only slaves have the power and the will to strike ^___^

or you can move to serbia pay 18% vat and work with masters degree(5 years of university) 40-48hours weekly for ~400euros (if you manage to find a job that is)
education covered untill the end of high school, health only basic insurance and family support i don't even know what it is but i'm pretty sure we don't have it :D

lol i say i work 16 hours per day not 8 hour per day 7 days a week which is 112 hours weekly for 125 euro per month (if you find job and if they decide to pay you) education the same . you got even the basic insurance we dont have that :D . and we dont have family support either so i think i should move to serbia :D
i seriously doubt you can pursuade me that average greek wage is euro/hour or that you can give me some document that can verify that
on the other side i can give you pretty numerous sources from our government sites that average serbian wage is 250-300euros. that 400e per month with masters degree is my girlfriend that is civil engineer master and we live up north where people tend to have bigger wages.
prices in supermarkets:
litre milk - 0,5e
bread 300g - 0,5e
serbian beer 0.5l - 0,49e
income from tourism per citizen in serbia close to 0
i would love to see pretty much anyone living here :D

documents here are overrated at papers they will say that i get paid for 1k per month(without taxes) i only care what i see in my wallet which is 125 euro.
make a poll at freestyle hellas and ask for their wages.
(even though it is not representative sample of the population cause by the time you can play sokker you can afford an internet connection/pc)

So you say you have to pay 875 euro taxes out of 1000 euro? I'm sorry, but I'll take the option not to believe you.
I'm sure he wants to say he's receiving less money than what his contract states he should.
Well, then I don't believe he only gets 125 euro if his contract says 1000 euro. It is well known that Belgium has one of the highest taxes of Europe (48% on average). I don't believe Greek taxes are higher.
Didn't you once say that the people are always financially responsible for what their country does?
I did. If you read carefully, you'll see this is not incompatible with my statements.

Then what did you mean by this:
This argument is a fallacy. You can't be hold responsible if the people on top deceive everyone in sight. Remember, politicians *lied* about the state of affairs. People voted based on lies.

you choose to believe your tv lies than the truth told by a citizen.

Have a look at the posts I replied to. The right to strike was denied on the basis they had voted for the wrong politicians. Of course, Greece will have to pay its debts, or at least try to do so. It is however utterly wrong to blame the Greek electorate for what corrupt politicians did.
Also, please consider that I tried to explain, and justify, the strikes. Unless I am mistaken, you stated yourself that the cuts are unfair. Not in the net. amount, but in the way they are applied. I hope this clears it up a bit.

I choose to believe western sources over one biased opinion of a Greek. If this is what you mean, then yes.

No it wasn't, at least not by me. I said 1) if they use violence, the police can and should arrest them and 2) they shouldn't strike, I didn't say they can't.

I don't blame them, I just say they'll have to pay.
Unless I am mistaken, you stated yourself that the cuts are unfair.
In this case you are mistaken.
