Goddamnnit, I knew that would impair my reading ability one day :P

then there was one Croat that thought that he needed to make remarks about sebrenica , the dutch, the serbs and the "muslims" as he stated it... and asked what those muslims did wrong; well , if you can read, read objective reports, like the book that will follow soon by Carla DelPonte.

how do you know that some book is objective, although it is not yet published???

Read abotu what live was or many serbs that were unlucky enough to have lived in muslim dominated areas in the Balkan.....for years, no, for generations, for as long as muslims and Islam were there!

i don´t know what kind of trauma you have, but it looks very serious. so much prejudices without any argumented reason... most of my life i lived in bosnia and my neighbors were muslims, serbs, croats, jews etc. and you know what - today i live in germany and i don´t see any significant difference between my former and current neighbors. people are people. some of them are good, and some of them maybe not. this is something that has nothing to do with one's origin, nation, religion, skin color...
Still the same dialog... Funny ? Boring ? Interesting ? Dunno yet :-)

I see two kind of believers : believers of science and proven things and believers of faith and proven things...

And every one is right... to think that what they believe is the right thing... But any one has wrong to think that other side is wrong because they don't talk about the same side...

This is my point of view : scientific believers think that there is no afterlife, reilgious believers think that there is an afterlife... An me ? I do'nt care : I only want to live here and now... the lonely thing i think i could be more pleasant to be not believer is xhen my death will happen, if there iwll be nothing after that, i'll find it normal (actually, i won't because nothing will happen :-)...), and if i 'll find some afterlife, i'll be very happy because i'm very curious and i love to learn about new things :-)

have a good day :-)

When your heart shuts down and stays down, thats the mortuaries definition of death :). After that, nothing is provable and therefore you can argue death is the end. Also, mitches post might be most informing, but I stopped at left wing.

if you believe that your whole life is in your heart you are right off course.

We have conflicting views so we are both right in a way ^^

Rest my case by blessing you all, wether you like it or not!

This is why I hate religion.

Religion is like a penis.
It's fine to have one.
It's fine to be proud of it.
But please don't whip it out in public and start waving it around,
and PLEASE don't try to shove it down children's throats.

@ All others: please, don't feed the troll.
It's fine to be proud of it.

Why don't you make up your mind for once. So, is it fine to be proud of it or is it idiotic? It can't be both. Or can it? I lost track of your logic long ago.
For me, it is idiotic, but it's not forbidden to be proud of something I find idiotic. Just like most people find an online manager game as Sokker stupid, but I'm sure there are people here who are proud of their team.

Well, that's basically tolerance ;-)
2011-07-13 11:51:32
Exactly, but apparently, Sasha doesn't want me to be tolerant.
LOL I have to teach you logic and semantics again. That's not called tolerance. That's called hypocrisy.

Tolerance or toleration is the practice of permitting a thing of which one disapproves, such as social, ethnic, sexual, or religious practices. So, before you tolerate something, you need to disapprove it.

So, if you disapprove something or you even find idiotic, you should stil be able to tolerate it without pretending that you do approve it or do not find it idiotic.

Saying "oh, I think that's just idiotic but it's perfectly fine that you're proud of it" is hypocrisy at its finest. It's either hypocrisy or sarcasm. Tolerance would be e.g. saying "oh, I think that's just idiotic, but if you really have to do it, I will do my best to tolerate it".

You have one little problem. This is and stays a forum, where what you write and mean by writing, isn't the same as what the other will read and understand.
So this is hypocrisy for you?

"I think religion is idiotic. I don't understand how you can believe that. However, if you are religious and proud of it, that is fine for me. I wouldn't be proud of it though."

If it is, then I have no problems with being hypocrite in this way. I do disapprove religion, but I have no problem with people being proud about it. I don't pretend I don't think it's idiotic, as I say clearly I think religion is idiotic. I don't see what is wrong with this opinion.

I completely agree. For example, I don't have a clue why you wrote this and why you think that I have "one little problem".
