LOL That's just hillariously crazy.

He has the same right as other religions to wear certain symbols (like a kippah for a jew). It is as crazy as the other religious symbols.

He has really shaken the theory of intelligent design. He has proven that he is definately not a product of intelligent design and so that theory can in no way explain his existence. :D

And still, he is here, so if he is not a product of intelligent design, the theory of intelligent design is wrong.

I somehow get the feeling you are no leftwing commie?

How about the euro crisis. Any solutions there? How is Italy refunding its debts this year? At what cost?

Currently the media do not seem to understand the real issue in Italy, refunding 330 billion euro at a 6% interest rate is going to cause a major budget deficit in the coming years.....
there is nobody complaining about my remarks

1. We have done that, but apparently you're blind.
2. Almost everyone is laughing AT you.
3. The rest is just ignoring you.

For the record, I'm not a downright leftwing socialist.

2. Almost everyone is laughing with you.

At him, not with him ;-)
My bad ;-)

Yes, he has the same right but his actions and beliefs are not honest. He doesn't really believe in the FSM nor does he wear this thing on his head all the time which is why religious people are allowedthis option in the first place. The system is not able to recognise that he's merely an atheist with an agenda against religion. So, he's only acting stupid and insulting feelings of religious people and the society is even more absurd and stupid for allowing him to pull off this ridiculous stunt.

In that sense, his performance is in fact very interesting and revealing because it shows the absurdity of our society which does not judge social phenomena by value but by form instead. There is no real religious value in Church of FSM. There is only comical value. In this way he was able to mock and devalue not only religion but also the valueable public system of identification cards. People responsible for ID system were stupid enough to allow him do that. There is a movie with great idea and less great realisation of it called "Idiocracy". Modern civilisation is heading in that direction.

And still, he is here, so if he is not a product of intelligent design, the theory of intelligent design is wrong.

That was a joke, man. Everything you see is a product of intelligent design. Even the less fortunate people like poor Niko (he could have at least smiled on that ID photo, he looks like a religious fanatic ;)).

There is not a thing in the universe that created itself and nothing can be created without being designed first. You really need to lack basic wisdom to be able to believe that universe created itself.

How can you be absolutely sure he doesn't honestly believe in FSM? It is possible. You assume it is not real belief, because you don't believe in it. There is no system that allows us to recognize real religious people out of atheists with an anti-religion agenda. There is also no way you can disallow him to do this. If they'd be in search of paragraphs to get pastafarianism considered a real religion as christianity, islam and judaism, I'd sign it too. So I'm pretty sure one would get enough signatures for it. So now, how exactly are you going to determine what is religious symbol and what isn't?

There IS religious value in Church of FSM: you have to be tolerant is the major value in it (if you read about FSM, you'll know this).

That was a joke, man. Everything you see is a product of intelligent design. Even the less fortunate people like poor Niko (he could have at least smiled on that ID photo, he looks like a religious fanatic ;)).

So 93% of the American scientists lack basic wisdom? Your god is either not almighty or either not completely good:
- If he was good and almighty, he'd make that nobody starves to death.
- If he doesn't want to let nobody starve to death, he's not good.
- If he hasn't got the power to let nobody starve to death, he's not almighty.

And I don't believe the universe 'created' itself, all scientific evidence points in the direction of an evolution of the universe.

For many Christians, God is allmighty because he stands by you without question. Not because he 'can do everything' and take suffering out of this world.
Be not mistaken, the suffering in the world is caused by humans even in most christian points of view.

Saying that the bad things in the world are proof of the inexistence of God is short of sight.

Saying that the bad things in the world are proof of the inexistence of God is short of sight.

I didn't say that ...
2011-07-14 13:13:35
You say 'he' is not almighty because of the suffering in the world. That is short of sight.
2011-07-14 13:27:25
That is using the definition of the word 'almighty'.
2011-07-14 13:32:16
For Christians God has the power to stand by them and be with them, even in their wrong-doing.
One who is not materialised, cannot be allmighty in the sence that you understand.

Okay, I see your point.
How can you be absolutely sure he doesn't honestly believe in FSM? It is possible. You assume it is not real belief, because you don't believe in it.

Common, stop joking. Nobody honestly believes in FSM. Its purpose is not that. FSM is a parody religion and its purpose is to mock religion in general. This ID is just another mockery and official government documents should not be the media for mockery. That makes such government a joke too. That's why I mentioned the satire or parody movie "Idiocracy". This ID looks like it's taken from that movie and not from real world serious country that wants to be valued and respected.

There is no system that allows us to recognize real religious people out of atheists with an anti-religion agenda.

Yes there is. Every person declares its religious orientation. But you cannot claim to be a penguin, a jedi warrior or a fun loving criminal. These are not religous orientations and neither is FSM. FSM is atheism making a silly face. It's a childish sabotage of religion in general.

So 93% of the American scientists lack basic wisdom?

Oh, yes, the almighty scientists. So you believe that wisdom comes along with intelligence and education? It's time again for a little semantics education.
"A basic philosophical definition of wisdom is to make the best use of knowledge. The opposite of wisdom is foolishness which is the lack of wisdom. In this sense it differs from stupidity, which is the lack of intelligence."
So, wisdom is not about how much you know. It is about what you actually do with it.

And I don't believe the universe 'created' itself, all scientific evidence points in the direction of an evolution of the universe.

And how and what made it start to evolve and who defined the principles by which it would evolve? Do you know of anything that exists and evolves without being created first? How reasonable really is to expect that something appears out of thin air? Puff! "Hello everybody! I just made myself!" LOL

Dude, I am not joking. If someone says he really believes in FSM, who am I to say that is impossible? The FSM is as plausible as your god for me. Tell me what the difference between FSM and christianity is. And keep in mind that 'FSM is a parody religion' is not an argument, 'cause then I'll say christianity is a parody religion too. A country should not intervene in private matter as religion. If religious symbols are accepted on the photo's, then this must be allowed, or otherwise there would be discrimination. Or you allow ALL religious symbols or you allow NO religious symbols. You cannot say - without being discriminating - that christian symbols are allowed and FSM symbols aren't.

Actually, you can claim those things. For religious neutral people, they are as likely as your religion. So once again: tell me what the difference is.

Oh, yes, the almighty scientists. So you believe that wisdom comes along with intelligence and education? It's time again for a little semantics education.

No, but there is at least a bond between the two.

And how and what made it start to evolve and who defined the principles by which it would evolve? Do you know of anything that exists and evolves without being created first? How reasonable really is to expect that something appears out of thin air? Puff! "Hello everybody! I just made myself!" LOL

Indeed, LOL it is. You're joking, right? Even the Catholic Church has accepted evolution to be true ...
