police confirmed it was a bomb attack and at least 2 dead :(
There are rumour about two bombs not found. Several people are dead, only two confirmed. First terrorattack in Norway.
Wont be the last unless you tighten up, on our news its said that high profile cities like London and Paris are hard to attack now so they're targetting other places :\
Good job it was a public holiday for you guys really

Apart from the tragedy, it really amazes me how these people planned their terrorist attack.
During the holiday? Seriously? What's next, school attack during vacations?

Perhaps it was just a warning? Release a video stating their demands sort of thing and promising to do it again on a busy day, if they dont do what they say?
because some people are mentally ill?
Heard that Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami have claimed responsibility but cant find anything solid.

Shooting on a youthcamp, yes. Political camp for the norwegian labours youth. THe former norwegian prime minister is there. This is dramatic in little Norway.
I don't understand why they'd pick Oslo. Norway is quite a neutral country (okay, member of NATO, but ...), they are not involved in Afghan or Iraqi War I think ... You'd expect them to chose an important city, Paris, or even Brussels (not that I suggest them to attack Brussels! :p) but Oslo ...
They are involved in the war effort. A norwegian paper reprinted the cartoons that muslims riotted and killed over. And Norway banned an extremist not long ago because he was a danger and it could be some sort of revenge attack for that.
But terrorists dont need reasons, they just kill indiscriminantly

Norway went all anti-immigrational if you catch my drift. Clearly a political attack. Most stupid though, it will encourage the government even more - and rightly so. From what I've read and heard Scandinavian countries have really big issues with the Muslims.
That is wrong. Clearly wrong. We have a very liberal immigration politics.
The number of immigrants in Norway is currently approximately 552,000, which corresponds to 11.4% of the total population (2010).[1] In addition to these, 206,627 are born in Norway with one immigrant parent, 30,766 are born abroad with one Norwegian parent, and 36,688 are born abroad to Norwegian parents (including adopted children). In 2009, the Norwegian net migration rate was at 43,346.[2] Of the total 552,000 with immigrant background, 232,000 have Norwegian citizenship (42.1%).[3][4] The cities or municipalities with the highest share of immigrants are Oslo (27%) and Drammen (22%).[5] The five largest immigrant groups in Norway are in turn Polish, Swedish, Pakistanis, Iraqi and Somali.[6]
