Also true but that's already changing. In China more and more stuff can be sold to a growing middle class, they need the US a lot less as they did before. And with a country like China you never know what they will do ... If the Party decides to break the Dollar they will, they don't care about people or the world :)

Still, they might have a growing middle class, they need the western market to obtain their economic growth numbers. Currently, they need us, and we need them. If you like it or not. However, I do think the western world should increase the pressure (political and economical) on all non-democratic regimes and regimes that violate basic human rights.
Police are trying to defuse a bomb that has been strapped to a teenage girl in Sydney's exclusive Mosman
POLICE are trying to defuse a bomb strapped to a teenage girl at a multimillion dollar house at Burrawong Avenue in Mosman.
Assistant police commissioner Mark Murdoch tonight described the situation as a "very serious and sensitive matter".
"We are still treating the suspicious package as live," he said.
"I can't confirm whether it is strapped to the woman involved but she is still in the vicinity of the device."
When asked whether the girl could move away from the bomb, Mr Murdoch said: "No, she can't get away from it."
The woman is cooperating with police and bomb squad officers to defuse the device.
Mr Murdoch said police had to "hasten slowly" in a situation as delicate as this.
The drama unfolded at 2.40pm this afternoon when an 18-year-old girl called police to the mansion in Burrawong Avenue, Mosman 'following discovery of a suspicious device'.
It was not clear how the device came to be strapped to the girl but it is understood she did not place it there herself.
A senior police police officer described the device as an unusual 'collar bomb' which has never been seen before in Australia.
He said they believed it was an extortion attempt and that the initial details of the situation were being conveyed to police via the girl's father.
The girl, who is part of one of Sydney's wealthiest families is understood to be 'absolutely petrified'.
Police believe the ransom note is attached to her neck but bomb experts have been unable at this point to read its contents.
The street is home to racing identity Gai Waterhouse, ex-Wallaby Phil Kearns and John Eales

Police have cordoned off the house and a command post has been set-up on the corner of Burrawong Ave and David Street.
Police Bomb Squad officers are currently examining the device, while other emergency services are in support at the scene with the teen's parents.
A third police rescue vehicle has entered the crime scene, as well as a number of detectives.
The girl is only in Year 12 and is believed to be studying her HSC this year. She celebrated her 18th birthday three weeks ago.
Her parents are outside the home comforting each other.
Police said they could not elaborate except to say a 'delicate operation' was in progress.

Sydney 'bomb' woman now safe from device
SYDNEY police have safely resolved a situation in which an 18-year-old woman attached to what they thought could be a bomb.
After the incident on Sydney's lower north shore entered its 10th hour last night, Assistant Commissioner Mark Murdoch said the girl had been released from the device and reunited safely with her parents.
The device was still intact, he told reporters.
The girl is believed to have been attached to the device by a person at her home in Mosman since 2.30pm (AEST), with police negotiators and bomb disposal experts working to defuse the situation.
Mr Murdoch said there had been some previous interaction between the girl and the person who attached the device.
He declined to detail any demands had been made by the person.

1. The world have helped Libya by giving them freedom and expelling Qaddafi.
(now they have just civil war, death everywhere and poor life and still Qaddafi there is, previous status was good economy, infrastructure and solid life with that "evil Qaddafi")
Was it really good step ?
2. USA is still living on debt and their living is destroying world economy. New world crises is going on ? What do you think ?
3. PIIGS country in EU started end of EURO ? New problems in Italy, next would be Spain or Portugal again, or even Belgium ? Can be there new EURO2 currency ?
4. Almost nobody cares what is happening in Syria. What is reason or what is different there according to Libya ?

1. Would not intervene have been a better step? Would let Qaddafi do what he wanted have been a better step?
2. Governments will have to learn they can't spent more than they have. They'll have to realize that. But giving the fact that the democrats and liberals are fighting (not literally :p) again, I don't see this realization happening in the near future.
3. The system of the euro has failed. Nothing seems to calm down the markets. And yes, Belgium is going down too. We still have no government (since election of June 13th 2010), the parties that should be negotiating are on holiday ...
4. I don't see a difference with Libya. The Assad-regime must leave.

3. The euro won't fall. I hope.
4. The situation is different. There is a slight crisis in case you haven't noticed so money and eagerness to help are limited.
You could: - feed starving people in Somalia
- (if you are a european country) help your neighbours
- (if you are cooperating) put money in the war in libya
- Copy the Libyascene in Syria

1. Finally, nobody can say that people in Lybia have now better life or better future. Their country is destroyed, no rule and no law is there now, a lot of dead, all state money and property is spending (or spent) in war. So, if you live there, would you really be happy after couple of months of Europe liberation ???
4. Crises is here for both cases. Just there is nothing valuable in Syria - my opinion.
Case of Somalia... I have already said here in sokker forum, that Europe is really not helping Africa (and was not helping). We are sending there old clothes, old food from army storages, old machinery and so.... for loans and resources but we (the world) will never help Africa to make their own industry based on their natural resources. Of course, why should we do that, we need that business and their resources :-). I am just honesty and I am able to say the truth about it :-)
3. EURO I am not sure if EURO can stand this new debt problems.... but I hope. I read interesting article about "not official using of euro", which means that countries can have their home currency but they still can pay by Euro :-) So business and positives of EURO remain but state finance and salaries of employees and living levels will be different in each country.
4. USA &Chine
It is just funny how Chine was and still is (or better they must) buying dollars because if not, dollars would drop dramatically down and all chine dollars savings would lose their value :-). Chine is in the trap too, I think :-)
