What kind of opinion do U care.American?
There are American bases all over the world. That doesn't mean those countries aren't independent.
I also sad kosovo is not independent becouse its under control of EU with United Nations Interim Administration Mission on south part, and Serbian administration on northern part of Kosovo.
And the name of Belgium has Latin roots and therefore has nothing to do with the Dutch language. So what?

3/5 world countries dont recognize Kosovo as independent. So,are U sure that all of this statas have same problems just like Serbia with its province and thats way they dont do it?

I expect that most countries don't accept Kosovo for their own sake, like Spain (see Basques, Catalans) or Russia. Or in order of not harming the relations with Serbia. It (the non-recognition of certain countries) has nothing to do with Kosovo itself.

I dont think that EU is shit at all..... I think that old states which start to create EU at the past are now ill and EU is now something different. New members who still know what EU should be (old ideas) should repair this status.

As all the citizens of your Serbian state (including Kosovo) are called Serbs, one could say the Kosovans are a subnationality within the Serbian state. They are from my point of view a nationality and an ethnicity, from your point of view only an ethnicity. Ethnicity is for me more important than nationality. I'm a Belgian as official nationality, but I'm a Flemish in ethnicity. The latter one is for me more important.

Look, when I discuss for instance the Balkan War of the '90, I always defend the Serbs as I think they did do things wrong (just like the Croatians, Bosniaks, ...) but our Western media was very anti-Serbian. However, my geographic knowledge of the world and particularly Europe is very good. I know the history of your region. And Kosovo is a part of your region, but not of your country.

The Balkans were for a very long time a very unstable area. So saying Kosovo is Serbians since 11-12th century is a lie. Not more than that. The Serbs conquered Kosovo in 1912. You cannot deny that.

it is all about what people think; i do not think that all muslims are bad, or all americans are cowboys, or all blacks are rapists...
but the example is there to show you how and why...it is nice enough to live in countries where there is relatively less violence....but what if you are in the middle of it, or your family and relatives are in there....then it is quite frankly a bit unfriendly to have some ignorant people give their opinionated meaning in wich they clearly show to have no idea about the workfloor.
same goes for soldiers abroad when , ofcourse again left political groups, protest ad home and these men and women give their lives for peace....
strangely the peace effort and building up countries like irak and afghanistan costs billions and western lives...but still the leftwing politicians are against it..are bluntly against millitairy actions and building up peace...
whenever "we" do not interfere in a conflict there is immediately critisism from the leftwingers...that there might not be oil or gains....
so it is nice to have an opinion...but it is straight from hell to tell a Serbian that his country and people have no claim on Kosovo whatsoever....

The EU is a good idea, but the way it works now, it's a bad project. It has to change seriously. Due to the differences between Western and Eastern Europe, I was against the acceptance of the Eastern European countries in 2004 and 2007. Why not create different European Unions that work together? I'd like a Western European Union with a lot of integration with countries like Ireland, UK, Benelux, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria and Scandinavia. (I see that the Eastern European countries (and in fact, the UK too, they are always being difficult) don't want to give up so much sovereignty, so they should form their own union.)
