The truth about Kosovo and whole ex-Yugoslavia is very simple. Nations of Ex-Yu had to gain their independence through wars because the Serbs led by Milošević had this "fantastic" idea how all territory where Serbs live have to remain part of Great Serbia. Unfortunately, they were able to even try to accomplish this idea because they had control over the ex-Yu's powerful army. Also, Milošević counted that Europe will stay out of this and let him resolve what he tried to show as "civil war".
Unfortunately, he was right and Europe did fail to react timely to Milošević's territorial pretensions and so Croatia (and before that shortly even Slovenia) had to regain its territory through bloody war while Bosnia and Herzegovina unfortunately had to practically lose its territory of Republika Srpska which is the only entity really in former ex-Yu created on ethnical cleansing. B&H is because of this a timed bomb and it remains to be seen how this torn and suffered country will be able to function normally in the long run. The most probable and extremely unfair outcome is that Republika Srpska will eventually become part of Serbia. This is the only place where Milošević's politics unfortunately succeeded.
Serbs violent approach in communication with other nations they need to live with or near by eventually led to the necessary NATO intervention and bombing of Serbia in order to finally get rid of Milošević and stop his violent and nationalistic political agenda. Unfortunately, by that time Milošević has already managed to poison Serbs' relations with every single nation they lived with until 1990, namely: Croatians, Bosniaks, Slovenians, Montenegrians, Macedonians and Albanians. None of these nations were able to communicate with Milošević's politics. It is a great shame that his politics was not recognised and stopped already in 1991. Imagine how many lives could have been saved...
In Switzerland e.g. you have many different nations living together with no problems. Do you really think that Kosovars would want to leave such a country in which they would be treated with respect and as equals? Remember, Albanians were a minority within Serbia but within Kosovo they are a great majority. Serbia failed to be a good governor of Kosovo. Instead, they produced violence whereever they went and that is the only reason why Kosovo is now rightfully independent which after decades of horrible life will finally give them a possibility for social and economical wellbeing. We should all be grateful for that.

3. Kosovo dont have its own state, but its ethic cleaned from 200.000 Serbs from its teritory.
4. Serbia have its own state without ethnic cleaning of any nation.

I dont see how is another failed mafia driven state or antagonizing Serbia in interest of EU or USA...The problem in Yugoslavia was that everybody has claim on something. Any self-determination hurt somebody as well any annexation. And these ethnical groups which claim same lands and towns hate each other, which lead to civil wars and massacres. West was blamed for not intervening and when it intervened it was blamed for intervention. Its somewhat loss-loss situation for West which is of course used by Russia and local nationalist idiots, but there werent good solutions...
