That is a lie. People from FYROM are not successors of Macedoninan language,tradition,history. That belongs to Greeks. They are Slavs and their coulture is part of South Slavs like Croats, Serbs,Bosnjaks (islamized Slavs),Slovenians

I don't know (and really don't care!) about macedonian and greece problems but,

if there are no economic or social problems..
if it don't give you nothing more, nothing less than what you have..

we are talking about nations and you putting maps of states and empires. FYI greek nation remained in the same part of the world in all your maps, although it spread to other areas as well throughout the centuries. so it's silly for some fyrom guys to come and claim that they are macedonians and part of greek nation's territory belongs to them. it's bs and it bothers me as a greek.

personally i dont care about the name. they can call themselves whatever they want. it's all the lies and propaganda that bothers me and find it dangerous. balkans are not like central or western europe. nations' mentality, attitude and past here, are different than in other parts of the world. even such naming issues could be a threat for peace and stability in this area.

actually i am going to give a better example.

let's assume there is some other guy who would like to be called charles hill. no problem for that.

if he lived next to your house and claimed that your parents are his parents and not yours, and also that part of your house belongs to him and not you, what would you say?

it's easy to say "try to make peace with your neighbors", "accept that fyrom is macedonia because others say so" etc. when you are not involved and you are thousands of kms away. we live with this bs. i lost a year of my life in order to serve my army duty. greece is losing millions of euros every year for military expenses just to be cautious. it's not scandinavia neighborhood here. it's balcans. nations have centuries of past and hatred. every bs and propaganda counts and affects area's stability.

personally i would like all this shit to let it go. but others dont. they are still dreaming of Great Greece, Great Albania, Great Turkey, Great Bulgaria, Great FYROM, etc. and all these fyrom-naming/kosovo are parts of such plans.

That has no bond with teritories, assimilations, wars, migrations...Flanders are Flanders no matter in wich part of teritory they live.You can't change the name of it.
