I just gave you tens of valid arguments lol...

your logic fails you so bad, i start to feel sorry for you

your only arguments were thats its inhumane (although you dont give a better solution, so its not an argument) and double standardish point of view that its wrong because whales are pretty

Your 'argument' and 'logic':

I said: Whales should not be killed because they are a threatened species.

You say: In India, cows are sacred. You should not eat cows.

Wait ... what?

your only arguments were thats its inhumane (although you dont give a better solution, so its not an argument) and double standardish point of view that its wrong because whales are pretty

No, I gave a solution: don't kill whales. And I don't want to forbid killing whales because they're pretty, I want to forbid it (like 90% of the world) because whales are a threatened species.

Cattle can be breed, that's the reason there are a lot of them. Cattle isn't wildlife and not in any way an endangered species. I don't mind eating meat, I mind the killing part of certain animals and the way it's done like whaling. Are you even thinking before you type your sentences? Or did you just came out of a pub? Could also be a reason why you type this shit .... If not, well, then I know I have to start getting worried as I already wrote, to share this world with people like you!

Relax, he's just some toy to play with. Make him fail by his own lack of logic and argumentation, it's really a funny game ;-)
You're right, not worth my time :) The examples he's using are nothing more as trolling.

I don't understand a word he is saying ...
2011-12-16 08:21:51
by the way, how did you think they were being killed before you saw the video?

licked to death by kittens?

Don´t patronize me.

The only thing Dumb was right about is that chickens can live without a head - for some while if fed and watered (as they no longer can feed or hydrate themselves.)

Otherwise, there are too few whales left to freely kill them.
2011-12-16 09:36:42
Who cares, it is all about free market.
2011-12-16 11:27:49
Ok, so there aren't many whales left...

and what if there will be no whales? The only difference that it would make is that the Japanese would be sad because they can't hunt anymore.

Really, what does the number or existance of whales actually change for anyone outside Japan? It's like all the cry about some special kind of goats that ceased to exist - what's the problem? World is not a kickass ZOO.

And with modern technology you have DNA of all kinds of animals and you can reproduce them in a couple of years. That's what they did with the goats and I've heard that in 5-10 years they will reproduce Mammoths as they've finally founds a proper DNA of them and now search for a good surrogate.

As for the killing part, I'm with Dumb. I can't see a moral difference between killing a whale and killing a cow, or killing a stray dog [in humane way, not the way the Ukrainians been doing...].

What you and Rubinho keep saying is not about morality, but about willing to keep a specie alive.
As for the 'normal food species that can be killed and you see no problem' try reading some articles about the ways they are bred, in what conditions they live etc. For example some farmers cut off the beak of hens so that they don't attack eachother. Now keep thinking about your poor whales who are hit by a harpoon...

I would protect a species if it can be done in such as an easy was stopping hunting them. No matter what. Or are you unaware of the value of biodiversity?
2011-12-16 11:44:58
I am, now tell me why some people attempt to reproduce and keep alive species that are going extinct in natural ways, simply because they are weaker than other species around them etc.?

Biodiversity - ok that's the only thing that is a valid argument against hunting almost extinct whales.

Btw. please give me an answer to these questions, because I don't know answers and don't know where to find them - and without answers there's no sense in talking about this subject:

1. What is the number of these 'almost extinct whales' and how did it change in last 10 years?

2. Was there any survey about 'should the whales be hunted or not' in Japan, or the greenpeace Japanese guy just made up the 'fact' that Japanese people in general don't want the whales to be hunted?

2011-12-16 11:49:28
I'd say moreover, that nature really does'nt care if there is only few, many, one or zero species... it is just a problem of human...
2011-12-16 11:50:00
From what I've read, they are after Minke Whales, which are classified as 'Least Concern' in the Conservation Status.

So give me a break about calling them 'almost extinct in the articles'...
