Being able to personally relate to the subject is an important part of it.
For me, it isn't.
For me, it isn't.
Your lack of empathy is duly noted.
For me, it isn't.
I beg to differ. ;)
You also relate to subjects based on your opinions, values, interests etc... It might just be that those opinions and values differ from the majority and thus you relate to different subjects...
(I'm saying this without judging you or others on those opinion(s))

It has nothing to do with a lack of empathy. I'm just not really interested in these personal drama's and I think it's a lack of respect when the media is being this close to the victims and their families. By the way, some families have already complained at the local police for the behavior of the media. Seems like what I say is not that crazy, is it?
A lack of interest goes hand in hand with a lack of empathy, but either way: if you don't care, let it well alone and leave this particular topic of discussion to those who do care. I really fail to see the added value of you saying you don't give a thing about it in every remotely applicable topic. At best it's annoying, at worst it's plain old trolling. I care for neither.
You know me better than that, don't you? You know I'll keep expressing my opinion.
And no, interest and empathy don't go hand in hand. The media and how the victims react on the media's behavior show us that.

Yes, 22 childs are dying at once daily..... It is normal, right ? And WW were just methods of solving world problems, right?
1 because it are kids
kids die in 'normal' accidents daily as well
2 because it is sad it happened
for me the fact that more people die each weekend on the roads is even sadder, isn't it?
3 because it are a lot at the same time
I don't see the difference. 22 die at the same moment one day, 100 die during the same day but in different moments - what's the difference, please explain
4 because it's in the news
so...what?

Not 22 in one accident, fortunately.

No, is also sad, not more or less sad.
I don't see the difference. 22 die at the same moment one day, 100 die during the same day but in different moments - what's the difference, please explain
See above
so...what?
That makes the difference. If it's not in the news it's not news and we don't know about it and can't be sad about something we don't now.

Its not about sadness or any emotional reaction about any tragic news on TV. Its about consciousness that many children and people die tragicly in this seconds. By accident or on purpose.
Massmedia create our emotional reactions using these accidents. But separately. I didnt saw any emotional pictures in media when some American soldier killed civilians in Afgan some few days ago.No sadness, no tears, accept apology of Barak that was accident.
No.That was purpose, not accident.

So you actually believe the U.S. Army said: "Hey jude, why don't you freak out and murder some civilians? That will make our presence in Afghanistan less accepted and puts our people there in danger!" Makes sense ... Oh, wait, it doesn't.
It is, however, exceptional when 22 die in one accident. Accidents happen of course, but this is way beyond normal expectations. The tragedy is that these lives were lost in the same community. Obviously, other tragedies occur as well. Doesn't mean this one has no meaning or should be ignored just because other accidents or purposeful criminal acts happen as well.
No I dont belive that.
I think that any man who has gun in his hands, expecialy soldier, have mission to kill. And when he kill innocent Afgans without guns, that is murder not accident.
So, why would American killers be accepted?
But this is not the subject.
