Its so frustrating to hear criticism from people who know so little about the situation.
we should stop talking about the past and about who lived here.
all the lands in the world were concord in wars that people died in.
the fact is that today theres a country called Israel (exactly like sweden, island and so on...)
The other fact (that most of you ignore) is that MONEY AND POWER are motivating the selfish leadership of this poor palestinians population.

We, the israelis feel very sorry for the palestinian, but mostly for their poor leaders. for their leaders who can do some ugly stuff to their people (and that most of you choose to ignore or forget).

But still, even thought those palestinians are caught in the moddle, Israel as a country that cannot allow rockets fired on a daily basis on our cities.

ISRAEL IS NOT IN GAZA NOW!!!!! WE GOT OUT!!!!!!

This is politics, money, power, and not much of humanity....

For all of the people who criticis israel i must ask to try to realise what we are going throught, but really try....

However regarding the controvercial question - do Israelies have a right to live here?
Well yes, even according to your standards.

Indeed, jews (!!) have that right as they always did, just as everyone else who have lived their or want to live their. Problem related to this is that many not jews fled the wars and still can't go back to their own homes after more then 40 years. This is against many Geneva Convention laws as civilians always have the right to go back home.

Very large parts of the land (look at the map if you can find it, it's not a huge place) were purchased by jewish funds since the 19th century, under Turkish and later English regime, and in formal way. Even them they were attacked by locals.

And attacks vise versa. But indeed, a lot of land (although 6% isn't that much ofcourse) has been bought, but the situation is a lot more complex as just one single line. Land was bought from landowners, but 1 landowner doesn't represent all people working and living their. And also fear and lack of economic knowledge were reasons to sell land. It's your country's history so you can tell the whole story, I should not have to do that.

And for the other part of your post, if I have time tomorrow I will take a look at it. Now it's to late to be busy with this subject.

hm.... I will force myself to read it again tomorrow , cos your arguments/explanations give a sense to me....
I mean that part that you bought that land, formally with agree of buyer and seller... that should be a big difference then....

jellous, israel people are the most inteligent in the world and rules in uneversitys, novel prices and more.

I am not sure of this :-DDD. Who can/want check this information..how much of all noble prices was given to jews? I dont have time for it but I am not sure if this is true :-)
2012-09-09 23:59:42
who attacks with rockets civilian people ? palestinian

This is ridiculous.. I saw video where israel army was seeking in gaza some "terrorists" and force Palestinian kids go first into houses.... so please, if you want persuade or teach us something stop using such a bullshits as that. Both sides use very ugly war methods !! We have youtube, we can see it :-D

Such a arguments force me to comapare your army (now jews, your army) with nazi armies... so next time try to think more before you wrote such a bullshit. thx.

Give them tanks and helicopters and satelite guided missiles and be sure they will stop attacking civil inhabitants.

I check your information and somebody explain me that you didnt buy that land from origin owners.
You bought that land from occupants (england) and that is different! So from this point of view this is weak argument.
But if you want try to explain it, I will read it.

the numbers:

At least 185 Jews and people of half- or three-quarters-Jewish ancestry have been awarded the Nobel Prize,1 accounting for 22% of all individual recipients worldwide between 1901 and 2011, and constituting 36% of all US recipients2 during the same period.3 In the research fields of Chemistry, Economics, Physics, and Physiology/Medicine, the corresponding world and US percentages are 27% and 39%, respectively. Among women laureates in the four research fields, the Jewish percentages (world and US) are 38% and 50%, respectively. Of organizations awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, 25% were founded principally by Jews or by people of half-Jewish descent. (Jews currently make up approximately 0.2% of the world's population and 2% of the US population.)

Chemistry (32 prize winners, 20% of world total, 29% of US total)
Economics (28 prize winners, 41% of world total, 53% of US total)
Literature (13 prize winners, 12% of world total, 27% of US total)
Peace (9 prize winners, 9% of world total, 10% of US total)4
Physics (49 prize winners, 26% of world total, 37% of US total)
Physiology or Medicine (54 prize winners, 27% of world total, 40% of US total)
See also data on "other Nobels":
Jewish Recipients of the Kyoto Prize (24% of recipients)
Jewish Recipients of the Wolf Foundation Prize (33% of recipients)
Jewish Recipients of the US National Medal of Science (38% of recipients)

jews are the 0.3% of the world! (13.3 millions)

@ NoWhereMan

Charles Hill, except from the Korean arrangment, what are other logical or geographical ideas behind your suggestion?

A number of arguments. First of all this is a long term 2 states solution, without the need to travel through israel to get from 1 place of Palestine to another, and the UN can easily keep you guys apart because of that demilitarized zone. Another argument is that israel will be the farthest away from the countries which cause israel the most problem, most probably it's better to be next to Egypt and Joran as Lebanon and Syria. Another argument is that both can have Jeruzalem as capital, but also under UN control. Also an argument is that no more US vetos are needed to block help for Palestine, everyone is free to help who ever they want. Also no more death because the war(s) and when a war starts the UN can interfer as it's between 2 states and not some form of internal affair. And probably there are more good arguments why this could work in favor of both sides.

And the reason for that border is because of Jeruzalem so that can become the capital of both states, Tel-Aviv will stay with israel as the financial centre, the largest part of West Bank is within the new Palestine state, both have about half the coastline, and both can use half of the Dead Sea for tourism for example.

I take it as a cynical comment.

I do realize it's unrealistic, but not at all a cynical comment. Yes many people have to be moved to get a solution like this to work, but after that all current problems are solved. The international community has to support both countries with a lot of money to rebuild both countries, but only for a relative short time (specially compared to the decades the current problems already last) and after that both can build their own country as they want it to be. You will finally be released from each other.
