And yes, there is (at least for me) a moral difference between killing civilians on purpose and attacking military targets with civilian deaths as collateral damage.

If you assume the death innocent Palestinians are collateral damage, you write the same wrong text in here as in the dutch forum :S Israeli soldiers after operation Cast Lead told a completely different story. Had have no idea what they where firing on and who they were killing with longer range weapons, they just fired. Please read and watch a bit more, then you know more :/

Most people DO feel bad for the Palestinians. They elected a terrorist organization (whose charter says to destroy Israel) to rule them and this is the result. Hamas was elected over the corrupt Fatah, but the people needed to choose the lesser of evils - I don't know that the Gazans are better off under Hamas than they were under Fatah (and sadly THIS depends who can better stop the rocket fire, which is probably Hamas). Bad thing is now Iran owns Gaza - they bought the Gazans' lives and land for the price of a bunch of long-range missiles to establish a forward base, and Iran definitely does not care about the Palestinians.

I was hoping the Palestinians would have turned Gaza into a productive area after Israel turned it over to them in 2005 - but they used the freedom to smuggle weapons and turn it into a proxy base for Iran. There is no way the good people in Gaza can just raise families and live in peace because this is not what their "leaders" want - their "leaders" only want to hate/fight Israel instead of help their constituents.

If you are really interested in the situation and inform yourself a bit better, in stead of being a blind babbling zionist, you would know. The info I watch and read isn't a secret to the world but freely available for everyone.
